Also they stuck my wife with a measly $5,000 credit limit and took 2 weeks to get the card to me. Will make hitting the limit more interesting but we'll get it done.In case anyone doesnt already have a Spark Biz card and was planning on that, just know that CapOne is very picky/stingy with their business cards. So have a back up plan.
Yeah this is what I meant by stingy. Low limits on biz cards often and also picky, I closed out my Spark card after 7 years when they requested business proof and I didnt feel like messing around with it, it had only a 2500 limit lol, but then I applied and I got a personal Venture card and they gave me a 30k limitAlso they stuck my wife with a measly $5,000 credit limit and took 2 weeks to get the card to me. I think soAlso is it against the board rules to offer to send referral links via DM?

Thanks for this info. Is there another card you recommend to max out the benefits for a direct purchase?Yeah this is what I meant by stingy. Amex Business Gold and Platinum both have the highest sign up bonuses but are point based and have high annual fees, you can make the annual fee a wash but you have to "work" for it by redeeming certain offers. Thanks for this info. Higher offer on this page than on the Capone site. https://travel-on-points.com/capita...1T9AYU8aeUCSlgvCeg_aem_gVDQcdR2Bb0ZUnYEAKfDnQAmex Business Gold and Platinum both have the highest sign up bonuses but are point based and have high annual fees, you can make the annual fee a wash but you have to "work" for it by redeeming certain offers.
Another business card option is Chase Ink Preferred, low AF 3x earn on direct DVC purchases. Also point based bonuses.
CapOne Venture personal cards have low annual fees and earn 2x and often have good sign up bonuses.
There’s usually a sign up bonus for new accounts for spending a lot of money in a certain amount of time and then it also earns 2% on all purchases.please explain how having a spark business card nets an extra 2500 off

Pair it with a nice credit card like the Spark Business card and you can lower it another $2,500! (2% cash back on the $25k + $2,000 sign up bonus).
I don’t think it’s very common for people to be able to get business cards…. It also might be an issue to be putting personal expenses on a business card….In case anyone doesnt already have a Spark Biz card and was planning on that, just know that CapOne is very picky/stingy with their business cards. It’s very common. But not all people like applying for them since the app does have business questions.I don’t think it’s very common for people to be able to get business cards…. It also might be an issue to be putting personal expenses on a business card….
We must have different definitions of common. It’s very common. But not all people like applying for them since the app does have business questions.
There’s a whole hoard of people on these boards that do it https://www.disboards.com/threads/i...r-addl-details.3959667/page-241#post-66313502We must have very different definitions of common.
20% of the population would be a “whole hoard” of people…. but it still means that it doesn’t apply to the overwhelming majority of peopleThere’s a whole hoard of people on these boards that do it https://www.disboards.com/threads/i...r-addl-details.3959667/page-241#post-66313502
as well as thousands of people on FB groups. Multiple credit card blogs that promote it. It’s very common. Has been for at least 18 years (when I got my 1st business card)

I decided not to go that route. I have what is easily a qualified credit score and an actual Schedule C business, with income and everything, though it is somewhat irregular. Some years are boom years, others are more bust. But, the application includes an attestation that I would only use the for business expenses, and I did not want to do that knowing I would be getting it primarily to put personal travel on it.It’s very common. But not all people like applying for them since the app does have business questions.
Do I have a business? Yes. Do I put spend on my cards that’s personal? Yes. Would I tell Amex that my DVC was for business purposes if they asked? Yes. After all many people have a business renting out DVCYeah, I've had co-workers tell me, just sell something on eBay, and, boom, you have a business that qualifies you for a business credit card. Ok, I guess I could do that, but I really don't have what I would call a business. I think plenty of people get comfortable getting business credit cards on relatively "thin" business explanations, and if the credit card companies really cared, they would require more verification. I don't think most of them care from what I've heard. But, I've always just felt that I don't actually have a personal business, so I'm not going to do it. I'll just make do with non-business credit cards.
And I think that is perfectly defensible!Do I have a business? Yes. Do I put spend on my cards that’s personal? Yes. Would I tell Amex that my DVC was for business purposes if they asked? Yes. After all many people have a business renting out DVC
