i've been told that either by Yavn or a staff member that VMK was created for the sole purpose of making people come to disneyland more often so that disney makes money this is true! it's not a rumor

Yup, I totally agree with that.
See, they give us the print outs to take to the parks to redeem our stuff. Henceforth, park admission = our VMK stuff.

Yup, I knew it since beta.Isn't it sort of easy to tell?They give us the worst events..but they are free!Disney makes about 600 dollars EXTRA because of VMK...or more..

I had mentioned this in another reply, but I know that since we got hooked on VMK, I have been to the parks more often and purchased things that I would not have purchased (4 hats to get gold Mickey Ear Cards). I am a local AP holder, so they aren't getting anymore out of me in that way, but I have made 4 trips since October solely for the purpose of VMK - not to mention 2 MNSSHP, 1 MVMCP, Osbourne Spectacle of Lights and lunch at MGM. Add on the bottles of water, buckets of popcorn, Mickey Head Ice Cream, and the misc pins and holiday gifts - I certainly have increased my spending since VMK came into (took over?) my life!!!!

I also have a friend who made a trip from NY for the sole purpose of doing the quests with me, and because of that trip bought an AP since she is making a trip with her family in Jan. She also bought the hats, candy, pins, etc. to get the VMK stuff throughout the park. Had it not been for VMK - she would not have made her solo trip!

Disney is above all a corporation that has to answer to its stockholders, so no matter how Magical we all want it to be and they do a good job of it- the bottom line for them is the dollar!
