That was a WILD game!

San Francisco should have made KC go first on offense in 0T.

You ALWAYS make the other team go first.

May not have made any difference in the end but still a big mistake.
Romo talked about it a little bit. SF had just spent the last 5-6 minutes(?) on defense, so that squad was perhaps tired and worn out. By going on offensive, the D gets a chance to rest.

I personally saw red flags when Travis shoved his coach. Not a good look......like ever! :(
I feel like, if KC had of lost, Travis would be raging and moody and Taylor would see the light and quietly distance herself and dump him within the next few months.

But since they won, he’ll be all jovial and she’ll stick with him for longer.

I was surprised he wasn't ejected from the game. They probably felt they had to keep him in to win.

He puts on a pretty good facade it seems, because all of the commercials and press make it seem like he is a decent, jovial kind of guy. But there have been at least 3 games this season where he was throwing his helmet or going off on someone.

Yeah, I did not like that either. Honestly, he should have been tossed - and not by the NFL but by his own team. I don't care how good he is - that's pretty uncalled for. Andy Reid is 65 years old for crying out loud!

("That makes me older than Andy Reid," she says, quietly.)

I thought he was WAY out of line and was shocked that he didn't get tossed. I also wasn't terribly impressed with his interview after the game. He didn't have much to say and did a lot of screaming. I'll cut him a little slack, as I know he was pumped about having just won a game that they'd spent a lot of time losing, but still... Other players managed to express themselves at least somewhat intelligently, rather than just screaming into the mic.

Yeah. Travis and his brother give me a loud mouth, beer guzzling hick vibe.

It was a wild game.

TBH, the way Kelce shoved the coach, screaming in his face makes me a little concerned for Taylor. I hope she would get out if he was ever violent towards her like that. I'm no fan of hers, but that kind of behavior is scary.
Yeah ...seeing that was just awkward. A lot of people claim Reid is a "great" coach(I've always disagreed). No player of a "great" coach would ever consider doing that! Period.

His brother Jason was the same when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Must be something in the Kelce blood.

I’m not sure how I feel about the OT rules, with each team getting a possession.

Shouldn’t it be the defending team’s job to stop the offense from scoring first? Make them punt or turnover on downs.

Sudden death is better IMO.

The Eagles beat Buffalo in the regular season with the exact same scenario. Eagles kicked a late field goal to tie the game. Buffalo received in OT, scored a FG, then the Eagles won on a touchdown on their first possession.

DD said they should play full 15 minute OT periods, like soccer does. Does college football do the same?

College each team gets it at the opponents 25 and each team gets a possession. Once it goes 2OTs if you score a touchdown you have to go for 2 instead of kick and extra point

Fun day in KC! I was back and forth all day about driving down to the Liberty Memorial (overlooking downtown) near the end of the game to photograph the fireworks that would go off if the team won. But seriously, who could leave the end of that game?

And a great coach would never tolerate it either!
I wasn't watching the game but hubby was. I happened to look up right when it happened. My first reaction was Coach should have tossed him, not just made him ride the bench but sent him to the locker room and fined him. No matter if the coach is good or bad, no matter how pumped he was or angry he was, there was no excuse. I could see me getting in my bosses face just because I was mad at something someone else did. I would have been out of there faster then you could say unemployment.

I didn't think that was a good enough reason to give up the first possession advantage.

Some are speculating San Francisco got confused in the moment and had regular season OT rules top of mind.

Mine too, but the poor coach was under a lot of pressure - if he tossed him and they lost, the coach would have been blamed. And then there's the whole "Taylor Effect" he'd be accused of ruining as well. I hope he takes Travis to task in private, but I understand why he didn't in the moment.

Do the Officials have the authority to eject or throw a flag when it is a "within the Team" situation like that?

Normally Andy Reid will dish right back in those situations.

I personally have no issue with what Travis did. His team just fumbled the ball when he got taken off the field, and to that point he had 1 catch for 1 yd. Emotions sometimes get the better of you and there’s a lot of adrenaline and emotion that goes into the game.

20+ years of Tom Brady screaming and yelling at everyone under the sun including coaches and he’s argued as one of the greatest to play.

Could you edit your post and remove my quote? I can't figure out why my post about carrying a SS card with you , ended up on a post about the superbowl, lol. TIA

I think it was the physical contact that made what would already have been a terrible look much worse.
