That platypus is LOOKING at me! A Memorial Day 2012 Trip Report TR FINISHED 7/23!!!

* Wow, Epcot seriously looks insane. Was this on memorial day? Or the weekend before it? I'm guessing our February trip will be just as crazy...
* Mmm, Le Cellier. Definitely have to try that, the soup and pretzel bread looks amazing! Your burger looks delicious too, and I'm not a big burger fan.
* I gotta agree with you on the poutine. It looks so gross to me! I don't really like gravy or lots of cheese slathered on things though, so it's not surprising that it doesn't appeal to me.
* Hurrah, the infamous platapus! Too funny!! I love kids at Disney World. It's one of the things that makes me want to have kids so I can take them there, even though I'm pretty sure we don't want kids ;)
* It's also good to hear your insight on short trips. I've always hesitated because I don't know if I would want to spend tons of money on a flight for just a few days.
* I like how in this forum, having almost 2,000 posts "isn't all that high." LOL!
* So excited to hear about the good merch too! I heard Art of Animation has a lot of resort specific stuff so I really hope the resorts get back into that!

A wonderful TR! Thanks for sharing, though I'm sad I won't get another one from you for a few months!

You've kept us in awe until the final day waiting for that platypus! And it was definitely worth it. Too funny! And now I'm dying for some soup and pretzel bread (it doesn't matter that it's 93 degrees outside, right?)! I definitely agree that short trips are worth it (...just need to convince my DH) and the merchandise is getting soooo good which is soooo dangerous!

I'm already looking forward to hearing about your NYE trip (especially your dinner at the CG!!!!! CAN'T WAIT!). I may do my first ever TR after my October trip... maybe... would you read it?!

Hi! I've been following along. What a fun trip you had, and i am so jealous of your d&b bags!!! Thanks for your opinion of short trips, my husband has been trying to get me to go on a short trip, and i dont want to! I've been afraid it will seem too short and even more depressing when yoy have to leave, but after reading abouy your trip, i might give it a try!!

Thanks for following along! :goodvibesI think short trips are good if you've recently had a longer trip or have one coming up, if that makes any sense. My next two trips (December and then Feb) are quickies, but then we're doing a long one in July 2013. It was an EXPENSIVE weekend, but I had to keep reminding myself that I would rather have an expensive weekend in WDW than a cheap one at home. (Although, my bank account disagreed slightly...)

The crazy Epcot day was on Memorial Day, so I'll bet that had something to do with it. I'll bet President's Day will look JUST like it, but at least it won't be 95 degrees! And I'm not a big burger fan either, but Le Cellier's burger is awesome. :) And I know--- I've seen all of the AoA stuff, and it makes me sad that I am not staying there with everyone!

I'll be starting a PTR for December soon. Cross your fingers that I get in somewhere with our DVC!

I am pretty sure it was 93 degrees when I had said soup and pretzel bread! It was just as good as it was when I made it myself for Valentine's Day in the cold. (Holy misplaced modifiers.)

And YES I WOULD TOTALLY READ YOUR OCTOBER TRIP REPORT!! You should also do a pre-trippie so I can read that too. I am very demanding.

I just caught up :) I keep forgetting about the boards now that we keep in contact thru easier methods, lol.

Short trips are definately worth it!! I hope I get to see you for NYE!! What park are you planning on for fireworks?

Sorry you didn't love Kidani. I was meh on the studio.... but it was my favorite 1-BR.... if only the location was closer. I think you may like a OKW 1BR--it was pretty sweet.

I have been loving merch lately too!! It's hurting my wallet--but I love it.

Well until next time....

It'll be here before you know it!
