How is " homeschooling" going

Do you use FLVS? We've never used it, but one of my DGD's did for her last two years of HS. She's now in her second year of college (in-person) and doing well.

Also, one of DD's "skate sisters" used FLVS and just graduated in May. And she's off to Dartmouth in just a couple of weeks!

Both my middle daughter (the Mom of DGD, and a public schoolteacher) and the skate sister's families swear by FLVS. I would be a little concerned about missing the socialization that kids learn in high school, but both those girls are perfectly fine.

I'm going to look more into it. I really thought everything was going to be ok by fall but it's worse... here in Delray everyone is pretty good about wearing mask but I dont know how the high school would be.

They have their graduation at UCF's Addition Arena, and the place is full of students and families. We went to DGD's graduation one day, and DD went to a skate sister's graduation from an Orlando private school that night.

That was in May 2019, and it was that trip that convinced DD to apply to UCF, primarily because every student we talked to said, "I LOVE it here!" A few months later we went for a tour there and she decided not to wait for UF or FSU decisions.

I was a homeschool teacher for the first time last year (for my friends twin kindergarteners) and I really loved how it went! I was a substitute teacher before the pandemic, but I enjoyed last year so much that I'm leaning toward private tutoring next year as well.
