That Pirate Stole My Tiara: The Pre-Trip Report

You never know he may actually enjoy that;).

We're pretty sassy on this here thread. LOL

I really wish we were going to be at the World at the same time.... You are SO much fun!! I'd have loved to have met you there!

There's always tomorrow...
Ok. I'm out and out admitting to being a bad DISer right now. Because I'm singing that in my head. And I'm pretty sure it's from a Disney film. And I can't remember which one!!! I'm pretty sure it's an old one.

Anywho, I wish we could be there at the same time too! You could join me and Kat's little Lapu Lapu Lovefest at the Poly!

In reality I'm following Paul McKenna's program and so far it's working great!:thumbsup2

And that Paul McKenna techinque does really work, don't know if you've heard of it, Tink.

What is this technique of which you speak? Is this the guy with the soothing British accent and the show on TLC?

If it's him, I'm in. He could read me stereo instructions with that accent and I'd be happy. Seriously, it's not the Italian or the French accents that get me. It's the Brits, the Scots and the Aussies.

They're both too precious!

Thanks. Precious brats, they are.

My goodness! I have myself one busy day and there's been a little flurry of action of here.

I was wondering where you were all day!

I love your fur-babies. Since I can't have any, I'm going to live vicariously through you. Please feel free to post any of their antics, they are adorable. And I don't like all cats. As a matter of fact, I don't like most of them. But since you're my long lost sister, I say in all honesty, yours do look A-Dory-ble. :thumbsup2

Thanks. They really are like two little people. And they LOVE the BF. Especially Isabel. She sprawls out in his lap, purring at full volume, giving me her DIVA face as if to say, "MINE."

Your fur babies are adorable!!!! I have a boy and a girl.

When I originally picked them out, I was told they were a boy (Isabel) and a girl (Dory). They had to fix them before I could pick them up, so I had to wait a few days. When I finally went to pick them up from the shelter, they brought Izzy to me, belly out, and I was all like, "Um. I think you took the wrong stuff out of my kitty." They all looked totally embarrassed and said, "We didn't realize she was a she. If you don't want her anymore because she's not a boy, we understand."

Not want her?! Pish Posh. Hand that feline over.

They are spoiled rotten -- especially Bagheera because he's MY kittie, knows it, and uses it to his advantage.

My girls know how to open the cupboards where their treats are. Dory "brought" them to me in the living room last night.

But I managed to drop 2 lbs this week, which made me happier. :)

Yay! That calls for some banana aerobics!
And one and two and one and two...

Really when they bring in people from Cold Stone Creamery to mix your ice cream for you, that's just mean. I just can't say no.

COLD STONE?! Dear GOD! Do you work for Satan? Uh, that is temptation right there, sister. We have TWO within driving distance. I close my eyes when we pass them and try to pretend they aren't even there.

Just so you know, though, the smoothies are a bit better for you and are delish! And just as filling as the ice cream. I had a hard time finishing a small!

Cute kitties! And since we're talking about babies, I have two black cats. Chase is 10 and Deuce, named because he looks just like Chase, is 5.

Okay. When I read that song quote, I was thinking Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, doesn't the snowman sing it??? At least that is what I heard in my head, I could be thinking of something completely different.

That is a cute little kitty story. We just had Ruby fixed recently and it was traumatic. More so for us, she wouldn't take it easy and her stitches kept getting swollen. We tried everything to keep her from jumping about and frolicking but there was no hope unless we just left her in the kitty carrier and that is bad parenting! I think the vet thought we neglecting their instructions, I had visions of the Animal Rescue people banging down our doors. But alas, she is healed and continues her shenangians. Last night she used my head and pillow as her indy speedway. Lovely.

Tinkerbellarella - since we're all about our furbabies latey here, I want to share mine! This is Pippin; he's a Scottish Fold and yes, more often than not he forgets to pull his tongue all the way back in after a bath... It's embarrassing, but we're getting used to it...

Also!...here is the link to Paul McKenna's web site (and yes, he's the guy with the soothing voice and cool accent from TLC!)...

www.mckenna.com

He's all about control over your eating habits, rather than "what" you eat (NOTHING is off limits! .....in reality this curbs cravings and stops the tendency to binge on something you "can't" have).

Anyway, take a look-see over at his site. I love him!

It is evil isn't it? Last year they only gave us Good Humor bars which are easy enough to walk away from. I also live close to 2 of them. I'll have to give the smoothies a try. I love when they have the watermelon sorbet. Usually I try to stick to going to Rita's Italian Ices. I feel far less guilty when I have one of those.

Chase is 10 and Deuce, named because he looks just like Chase, is 5.

Deuce is an awesome name.

Okay. When I read that song quote, I was thinking Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, doesn't the snowman sing it??? At least that is what I heard in my head, I could be thinking of something completely different.

That makes me an even worse DISer. Because I think you're absolutley right.

But I do love me some Rudolph.

Last night she used my head and pillow as her indy speedway. Lovely.

Isabel is our nighttime angel. Dory on the other hand...Remember that show "Double Dare" from Nickelodeon? Yeah. Sometimes she performs the "Physical Challenges" on our bed. At 2 a.m.

This is Pippin; he's a Scottish Fold and yes, more often than not he forgets to pull his tongue all the way back in after a bath...

I love Scottish Folds! Does he have an accent? LOL

Seriously, I love them. I want one for our next kitty, but the BF wants a Bengal, so that's likely what we'll end up with.

Thanks! I think I'm going to mosey on over there right now.

Because working is way overrated.

Usually I try to stick to going to Rita's Italian Ices. I feel far less guilty when I have one of those.

In our house it's the No Sugar Added Fudgesicles. BF's a chocoholic and they satisfy my sweet/cold cravings.

Scottish Princess, I have been through a divorce too (bah!) so the fact that I agreed to this wedding nonsense for a second time is beyond me. I am much more focused on the marriage instead of the hoopla of wedding-ness.

You are so right:thumbsup2 . My first wedding was very beautiful, very expensive and very wrong. My second wedding was a very small & low key affair, (infact my dress cost 10% of the price of my first wedding dress:rotfl: ) as you say the marriage is more important than the wedding. Anyway the point of this rambling is that second time round you are more cautious and will only do it if you know it's right. You have your priorities in order so it's going to work, it's my fifth wedding anniversary tomorrow and I'm more in love with DH now than I was when I married him and I'm sure that you'll find yourself in the same position in five years time:goodvibes .

Now I have Marc Summer's voice in my head saying, "Time for a physical challenge"

Seriously, I love them. I want one for our next kitty, but the BF wants a Bengal, so that's likely what we'll end up with.

Those Bengals are so pretty. The vet tells me that Sulley is part Maine Coon Cat and that is why he is big. I love the fluffy kitties. DF is a dog person but I am slowly converting him, MUHAHAHAHA <--- my version of evil laughter.

Because working is way overrated.

This is EXACTLY how I feel today...well everyday.

My first wedding was even smaller then the one I am planning now. I totally agree with you about the second time around. I knew very early that it was the right thing this time around, the first time I kinda had an idea but again...looong story. Thanks for the happy thoughts and wishes!

During all of my pre-wedding stress, I totally remember saying, I wanted a marriage, not just a wedding day.

Which, fortunately, I have. :goodvibes And a good one, at that.

But sometimes people get so bogged down in the details. Oy! :)

Hmmm, this looks strangely familiar. Yep, I have some fur-balls, er... babies myself.

Caught in mid-mutual grooming. Only it's not so much mutual; it's very one-sided, in fact. Sophie, on the left, is a complete idiot, but she's cute. Bailey, on the right, runs the roost and has Sophie convinced she must wash Bailey's head several times a day or risk deportation.

I feel like the song from Sesame Street "which one of these kids is doing his own thing" because I'm not a cat person:guilty: Don't get me wrong, I like cats, I've just always been a dog person and for some reson I think people always associate themselves into one or the other.

Great job on the weight loss. I also lost 2 pounds this week, but after you read my latest post you'll see why it probably won't last.:headache:

Here's my thinking on the weight loss. One to two pounds a week is very realistic and doesn't mean you have to starve yourself. It's very attainable and a very healthy way to drop pounds and keep you from regaining the weight once you reach your goal because you didn't restrict yourself too much.

:rolleyes1 Oh where, oh where has Tinkerbellarella gone...
Oh where, oh where can she be?:rolleyes1

;) :lmao:

I love love love the tongue!!!

I love dogs too. But we live in an apartment, so I dog isn't practical. Especially since the dog we want, a Neopolitan Mastiff, will weigh close to 200lbs. when fully grown.

My mom went through this too with a steroid treatment for poison ok. Hers was EVERYWHERE. Ugh. Poor thing. But she lost the weight fairly quickly, so have hope!!

Here I am! I found me! ;)

I have some serious catching up to do :surfweb:

Just finished catching up. :surfweb:

Hey guys! Take your time catching up. A new update probably won't be up until sometime tomorrow. And be advised, the next chappie might not be full of the chuckles. It's likely going to be full-on sap.

:flower3:

Bring on the full on sap. I'm in one of those kinds of moods anyway. :)

The sap has not been brought.

I know. I'm aware.

I'm sorry.

Life has once again chosen to get in the way and interrupt my update plans.

I will likely have something short-ish in the way of an update at some point this week. I think I'm going to save the sap for a bit, since it is something very important to my heart. And I want to get it right.

Once again, sorry for the delay guys and gals. Hopefully, by this time on the 13th of May, it won't be an issue any longer. By then the wedding I'm in will be over and school will finally have ended for the semester. And I'm not taking any summer courses.

I hope your Tuesday is less wet than mine. Not only is it rainy and foggy (I'm 23 floors up and can't see the building directly across the street) but there was also a water main break outside our building, so traffic is a mess and commuters are wearing their pi$$y pants.

::sigh::

You must have to be at work really early to post that early from work. Ick. You have my sympathies.

Hope things ease up for you a bit soon. We'll all be watching.

My day is looking to be as wet and rainy as yours. My department has no windows whatsoever though, so I remain fairly oblivious to what is going on out there. (Dreary flourescent lighting 24/7). I was very tempted though to call in and sleep the morning away. Probably should have, as when I did my weigh in this week I put the weight I had lost last week back on. Not a surprise, but annoying anyways.

Sigh. I think it's just going to be one of those weeks.
