That moment when you want to ....

I don't get it.

First..how on earth does someone elbow someone in the face to move forward? Was this person on the other side of the cattle gate or was your child facing backwards in line?

Secondly, while I do agree that this woman shouldn't have touched or pushed your kid in any way, why didn't you move her away from this woman after she said she had gotten hit? You could have confronted her about it there without letting it get as far as it did. Had you intervened even passively at that point there would have been no need to "grab her elbow".

If this injury was that bad, why wouldn't you have contacted security immediately? As soon as you got to the point in line where there was ANY CM, you could have said "The woman in line right there hit my child in the face. I want to speak to security right now." Going to guest relations after the fact with a complaint about some random woman in the park is likely not going to get your very far.

I was thinking the exact same things.

First we were turning the corner and my daughter was next to the wall, but must have left a four inch gap between her self and the wall. This woman tried to squeeze in there and it's easy to elbow a waist level four year old from behind. As she said it I assumed it was an accident, I saw the second one at which time I was scooping up my child as she swung again and I caught her arm. This was a matter of 20 seconds! Not sure how much faster you expect people to react. She got a bloody nose and a bruise and we did notify the next cast member in line who instructed us to see guest relations! I probably should have asked for security but at the time didn't think about anything but getting out of there and there was no turning around with te cattle call. My complaint at guest relations was less with the woman who is just a jerk, but with the disney protocol of training staff to push people forward, people standing in an organized line goes just as fast, as there are only so many seats on each run, no need to push people forward but to make the line look shorter. All that does is promote people trying to push past tenge line to the front. And her nose was not broke, just a few blood drips and a bruise, she is a trooper and never complains.

Ah ok that makes a bit more sense. I couldn't picture how it was happening.

And yeah, at the time its hard to think clearly about what's going on to say "No, I don't want to go to guest relations. I want security now." There are definitely times I understand them packing people in like with the pre show rooms where they need to shut a door like at ToT. There was a time in the Finding Nemo musical line that someone turned to the CM who was trying to pack the line and said very simply, "It's hot, we're close enough together. No one is going to move any more so please stop screaming at us to do so."

You're a better man than I. I too probably would never strike a woman, but I'm not opposed to making them cry.

My wife OTOH would have punched her :rotfl2:
