I don't get it.
First..how on earth does someone elbow someone in the face to move forward? Was this person on the other side of the cattle gate or was your child facing backwards in line?
Secondly, while I do agree that this woman shouldn't have touched or pushed your kid in any way, why didn't you move her away from this woman after she said she had gotten hit? You could have confronted her about it there without letting it get as far as it did. Had you intervened even passively at that point there would have been no need to "grab her elbow".
If this injury was that bad, why wouldn't you have contacted security immediately? As soon as you got to the point in line where there was ANY CM, you could have said "The woman in line right there hit my child in the face. I want to speak to security right now." Going to guest relations after the fact with a complaint about some random woman in the park is likely not going to get your very far.
I was thinking the exact same things.
