That Mickey sure is one smart cookie!! May 2011 CBR TR (update 08/13)

Great pictures! I hope they had lots of fun trick-or-treating!

They look great!

OMG I love it! They look soo adorable!!!!!!!!! :cloud9:

very cute halloween costumes

thanks everyone! they had a blast! we went to a trunk or treat this weekend first. then Chris was off yesterday. Our neighborhood doesn't really get into the halloween spirit, so we went a few streets down a trick or treated for about an hour. I knew Maya would be excited, but i was really surprised at how much James got into it. he told everyone he saw
"my crebibiles" (I'm incredible)
I love toddler speak!

I hope all is well with you...It's been awhile since we heard from you!

Good Morning Everyone!

I know that this trip report has been on hiatus for some time, but i'm itching to finish it up! I hope some of you will be able to join me so i'm not just talking to myself LOL

Maya has been doing well in school. She reads 2nd grade level, and always makes the honor roll (at least the kindergarten version of it)

She got her hair cut a couple months ago

Enough for locks of love!

James turned three. He will likely start speech therapy in the fall, but his vocabulary and comprehension have really sprouted recently.

For his birthday, we went to Toys R Us and let him pick out his first bike. I didn't sway him, and was very proud of his decision.

Here are a couple pictures from his Thomas party. They are blurry- it was a very difficult place to get pictures at because of the movement.

Chris didn't get home from work until almost 2 the night before, and we had family pictures the morning of the party, so i talked him into buying a cake this time

and a couple from photoshoot Chris' mom had that morning.

It was at a brand new place called SkyZone Sports- it's basically like a giant trampoline, with areas for trampoline sports, toddler section, and a foam pit as well. It would normally be out of my birthday party price range, but we decided to splurge this time. Chris' brother who lives in Germany came in town, and we were meeting one of our nieces for the first time. It was really great to see them for the first time in 4 years, and to have all the cousins in one place.

Speaking of cousins, i think i've gained a niece and a nephew since i last spoke on here.

oh, and i'm pleased to say i get to start a new thread soon! :cool1::dance3:

So that's about it for us. What has been going on with you guys?

.

And just so you guys don't think i was joking, here's the next post already!

Sunday, May 16th cont.

When we last left off, a million years ago, Maya was completing the Royal Transformation...

Finally it was time for the big reveal. For most participants, the FGIT would signal the photographer before she did the reveal. Well, Nadira signaled her, but didn't wait for her to make her way over there! Before i could speak up though, it was done. (So if you do BBB- tell your FGIT you want the PP to capture the reveal ahead of time!)

The giant smile on Maya's face almost made me forget to take my own pictures! She was so proud of her princess look!

Maya gave the FGIT a tip, so she was told to go to the wishing well and make a wish. She said, "I wish I could fly!":lmao:

We checked out and were given our package. It contained the comb, makeup, and face stickers used during her transformation, a pack of toy story silly bands, and a piece of tissue paper shaped like a cone! (I don't THINK anything was supposed to be in there?)

We were also invited to come back for a princess parade later in the day.

Guest relations was our next stop. I wanted to get her mini photoshoot in before our princess had time to sweat or spill anything on her clothing. The photoshoot comes with the highest package, but you can have one by showing your reciept for any package purchase. Based on the number of pictures we took, I'd assume it's a smaller shoot though.

Maya was in heaven as we strolled through Downtown Disney back to the WOD store. Everyone spoke to her.

"good morning princess"

"what a beautiful princess"

Some even bowed! And a lady stopped her in the store to ask her opinion on clothing for another young girl. She was a bit startled by the attention.

"Momma, I can't believe how many people think I look so pretty"

She asked me to take a couple random photos,

then it was time for the good stuff- shopping (whohoo!):banana: Now if that doesn't warrant a couple dancing bananas, I don't know what does!

Maya looks adorable. It is good to hear from you. Happy Birthday to little James.

We’re in heavy planning mode for our trip in June and I did start a PTR. I’m so excited for my daughter to do BBB when we go this summer. I ordered her dress on etsy.com and some accessories from ebay. It’s not a particular princess but she said she didn’t want to dress like a particular princess for BBB or princess meals, but loves to for the fall festival we go to here. So the dress for BBB and CRT is a pretty pink dress, but she saw a Rapunzel dress on the lady’s site she went crazy over. She doesn’t know yet that I ordered it too.

My son turned 2 since you last posted and I almost can’t believe it. Planning my daughter’s party now. She’ll be 9 in three weeks.

Welcome back!!!!

One of your pictures for the reveal has a broken link...just letting you know.
It sounds like you may have a trip in your future! YAY!

Maya looks so gorgeous...even the one pic with the sour face. :rotfl2:

She looks so pretty! Too bad the photopass missed the reveal. Her smile is priceless!

nice to hear from you too!
It seems wild to think that your baby is already two! And your dd will be nine! I always thought my dad didn't know what he was talking about when he said time moves faster after you have kids. But he sure did!

I want to see your etsy pics. Are they on your PTR? I have one or two I've been looking at for a while- I may give in to one next trip. I bet she will be so excited for the Rapunzel dress it's the little things right? I can't wait to hear about her bbb experience! Maya felt so special- I'm sure your dd will too

I am so glad you're back! I love Maya's hair cut! It's so precious that you were able to donate to Locks for Love!

Happy 3rd to James! :goodvibes

Totally loved the BBB pictures! Sorry the PP missed the reveal, but you got some stunning shots!!! She looks amazing and I'm so glad she got tons of attention!

And shopping always warrants dancing bananas! :lmao:

A new thread soon ... :scratchin This I can't wait to hear about either!

Patiently waiting for more!!! popcorn::

I was on chrome and it behaved differently for me in regards to that link. I'll have to go back and fix it.

I almost have the go ahead. I'm trying to decide if I should just go ahead and make it official so I can take advantage of 180+10. More on that very soon though
thanks for the kind words about Maya!

She looks so pretty! Too bad the photopass missed the reveal. Her smile is priceless!

Thanks for the sweet compliments. I was so glad that her face showed such joy and pride. No big deal about the pp kissing the reveal moment. Just wanted to mention it so that others could know more how it works in there in regard to that.

Thanks for the nice words! I was so happy that it made Maya feel so special.
His party was so great because of that rare opportunity to have an entire family in town.

And I'm with you. Disney shopping always makes me dance. I'll see parks stuff on tge website and not buy it because it's so much more fun to get it on parks.

I'll need your help with a particular area in my next section!

My help? Hmm... what could I possibly offer up help with? You need your "books" balanced? :confused3 :lmao::rotfl2:

I'm so glad that you had your entire family! It's always great to celebrate together!

There were items I was wanting ... and I could very well buy similar at Target or on the web ... but just buying it in the moment at a park ... PRICELESS! :cloud9: (And a lot more expensive! :lmao:)

Well, my interest is piqued. Oh, how I wish I was more patient. :lmao:

YeahChris' brother and his family were in Germany for 4 years we met one niece before they left, but the other was 18 months old and we just met her. They are done in Germany now, and stopped for a while at my SIL parents' house and here on the way to their new assignment in Washington state. So we still won't get to see them often but at least the time zones are a bit closer for communication.

As for your help, it's nothing to stress over. Actually, now that you mention it, there is that credit question I've been meaning to call the bank about...I was referring to is just needing your advice on scheduling an extra activity. I'm going to start my PTR Monday probably, so you won't have to wait long:)

That's awesome about the family!!!!

If you have a credit question, best to get it sorted sooner than later. A lot of things have timing limitations ... best not let it get away! :thumbsup2

And now I think I have an idea of what you could be talking about. I'd be happy to help in whatever way I can! :goodvibes Anxious to read your new PTR! I'm excited to hear what your dates are, where you'll stay, what you'll do! Eeeee! I can't wait! :yay:
