Subscribing to this thread. Just booked a couple of days ago. We changed our cruise from Mexican Riviera to this one. It was quite more expensive but the logistics and other plusses outweighed the cost.

2 Things come to mind to ask right now:

1) Key West departure time of 9:30PM is later than usual which was around 7ish? Is this affecting anyone's planning? Are some staying in town later? Are there events of note in Key West at that time? (other than I'm sure, a livelier Duvall st.)

2) Has Disney done away with the boarding number issued at check in? Or do we need to still check in online as early as possible to get a boarding number?

PACKING!!!!! Soooo excited to start packing! I was afraid to start before, for fear of jinxing myself and the biopsy results. But now I'm gonna start with by trying on shorts and summer clothes, packing up FE stuff, and all the things I won't need to use in "real life" between now and then. SOOOOO excited to pack!

I pack at the most a couple days before the cruise!
But I am working on Magnets
Also need to get going on FE stuff.

Welcome to the group and to DIS. It is not too let to join the FE. karajeboo is organizing it for this cruise. She'll need you to PM (Private Message) her the names of everyone in the group and ages of children, cabin #, email address. We are planning on having a group meet on the first day at 3:00 in the Promenade lounge.

Welcome to the group! In response to your questions, I know our KW departure is supposed to be later, but both a DCL rep I spoke with a few weeks ago and the KW cruise ship calendar show the Magic leaving at about 7:45 pm. Not sure why the discrepancy, but we are planning around that time and if we get extra it will be an unexpected bonus.

You still need to get a port arrival time by checking in on line and that's what your boarding number is based on (unless you are taking Disney transportation from the airport or one of their hotels).

Only 8 weeks to go!

I know the board name is technically "That" fantasy can't steal our magic, not "The", but when DH first heard the original version, he kept repeating it with a sassy feminine southern drawl and i had to change the grammar so I wouldn't hear him in my head anymore. Someone get him drunk at Diversions and I'm sure he'll do it for you.

Welcome!!!! I did my online checkin but from what I heard you are "assigned" your boarding group# based on your check in time. So if your checkin time is 2pm but you arrive at 11, you will still have a much later boarding#, make sense? I guess that is to keep people from arriving early just to try to get on earlier?
