Just booked my first shore excursion
Less than four months and we will be sailing!!!!!
We are getting closer

I printed a pic from one last year and taped to my monitor at work.... It's such a lovely sight.

I booked Nachi Cocom for Cozumel.
I will probably book something for Grand Cayman through DCL- i am too much of a chicken to book on my own there

We are doing Mr Sancho's in Cozumel (I think right next door to Nachi....). We have booked Fat Fish Excursions in GC, but it is a little scary to think about being late.... so I just won't think about it!

No. I took a picture of one of my actual boat drinks. I set it on the deck in the grown-up pool section, so that I have the pool and the sea in the background...... ahhhhh! Now, when I need a peaceful moment, I can just look at my boat drink....

Try not to be too chicken! You can save a bunch and the firms talked about here and other travel forums depend on people making it back in time and safe or they couldn't remain in business. First time we went to GC on DCL we took the public bus everywhere (7 mile beach and turtle farm) and it worked out fine. Just ask for some recommendations from other folks who have been before and you should be fine. I would recommend Native Way in GC.

So happy to have found this thread! So much great info!

My husband just recently booked this cruise for my son (18) and I as a gift. He travels a lot on business to interesting places and this is his way of making it up to us that we never get to go with. As an aside, my son has autism so for the most part we'll be doing our own thing as he likes to dominate the conversation and I'll be looking out for safety issues the whole cruise especially since he wants to go on excursions like Xplor!

We live in suburban Maryland so I was kind of shocked to see all the peeps in this area on the thread.

Can't wait for the cruise. It's our first so we don't really know what we're doing or which end is up but I guess this is the place to get the scoop.

Kara, I finished the C25K program (but have yet to run an actual race) in early October and started the B210K and then went on a trip to WDW during which my MIL ran into the back of my leg with her ECV so I had to take a month off and am starting again tomorrow on B210K W2D1. There's a great, motivational C25K thread someplace on the DIS, I think community forum, health and fitness. I still have a hard time finding my way around here but am looking forward to reading cruise info/trip reports now that I have one booked! Yippee!

Welcome!!!! No hijack at all, great info! You will LOVE this cruise! We did our first ever cruise on the Magic last year spring break, and decided as much as we love Disney and DCL, we REALLY fell in love with cruising in general. So we were going to book another cruise line, until Jeff decided to go with DCL again because as long as Ally is into it, let's not lose this opportunity with the Disney characters..... So we are coming back for our second and CAN NOT WAIT!!!!

Although, I'm heading to wDW on Saturday so REALLY excited aobut that too!!!!

Welcome!!! You guys will love it. And no need to worry about the excursions if you book through Disney as they pre-check everything prior to offering it and send one of the crew on each one. They ensure that everything in "Disney" Safe!! In fact my son hurt himself on our bike excusion in Spain (his fault -- riding too fast and showing off on rocky terrain) and we received several calls over the rest of the cruise checking up on my son! They have a medical facility on board and we had the nurse calll several times as well. My son and I will also be on the Explor excursion. I am a big scardy cat but am looking forward to this one as I always wanted to do a zip line!

Today I paid off the cruise so next week and I can book my excursions!!

As the day you are booking is technically the first day of the cruise and knowing my dd there is no way that she will actually allow me to leave her for a meal that soon. I will have to try to book the brunch later in the cruise.

We had the same nasty drizzle for the past couple days..... so gloomy - but today is like yours - it looks pretty from inside my nice warm house, but boy oh boy does it feel like winter out there.... and I'm in SC!
