DVC won't buy it without exercising ROFR- which means it had to have a legitimate offer for them to consider.

Seems to me, if you are gonna need 800 points and you're gonna get them via resale, this would be the way to do it: with 800 pts, you really economize on closing costs. And with the relatively low price to begin with, someone is doing very well in this deal.

In some ways, this and that 1000 points at BWVs would be nice for a grown family to split. My sisters, my parents and I.....800 points divided between three families is only 200 points per family.

After some quick figuring, I would say they will net out at about $56.00 -$58.00 per point. If I were buying that I would rent out 1300 points and reduce the cost by $13,000.00 . That is a good deal. Don't think it will go through though. They must have been close to original owners, bought cheap and want to dump it.

Wish we knew who bought it so we would know if it goes through.

Except, you can't split them up. Only Disney can do that.

I wasn't talking about splitting the contract, just splitting the points - i.e. sharing the points. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I think a lot of people share a contract between several families. I know we almost bought a resale that was 150 points shared by three(!) families. But if you are talking a week a year in an OKW studio, its doable.
