Thanksgiving

Greetings all-


We have visited Disney often in the last few years, now we are thinking about a visit during Thanksgiving with our 9 yr old DD. Any thoughts/comments from those who have visited during Thanksgiving?

I think it was about four years ago when my family visited for Thanksgiving. We actually flew into Orlando Thanksgiving day and had Thanksgiving dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern at MK. My parents had decided to do this because a few years before we'd flown down the week BEFORE Thanksgiving and the parks had been packed but then mysteriously, for the last two days of our trip and after Thanksgiving, the parks emptied out and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. So, this last time, we went down on Thanksgiving and stayed the week AFTER which is a lot less crowded and is getting decorated for Christmas at the same time along with we were able to do MVMCP too! Plus, and since your daughter's still in school, you can work with her teachers so she doesn't miss the usually big 'testing' period that's right before Christmas break
