Thanksgiving

Having been to MK in the week leading up to Thanksgiving Thursday and finding it very busy, I have decided to stay away from the WDW area on Thankgiving on our trip this November. What I would like to know is what are the crowds like at the non-Disney parks, and do the shops and restaurants around Orlando close on that day?

I remember going to Wet and Wild on Thanksgiving in 2000. It was reasonably quiet.

We arrived on Thanksgiving evening last year, so don't know about the parks/shops but there were definitely restaurants open.....I can't remember now which one we went to in the end but I know we had the choice of a quite a few.....
