Thanksgiving week 2005???

Given that MS is closed today, i thought i would ask my question here!

Does anyone know if Thanksgiving week of 2005 is still available...? I know i should have been calling a few days back, but just came up with the idea today....

I'm sure there will be something. You may not get a standard view at the BWV, but you will find openings. What is your home resort?

We are in a similar boat but looking to book the week after Thanksgiving. Is this a crowded time or does everyone typically go home after Thanksgiving? Are all the holiday decorations up?

I'm going to finish my day by day for BWV boardwalk view tomorrow for Nov 26 to Dec 2. We've never done the week after Thanksgiving, we always go the first or second week of December. But our AP's expire 12/4/05, so we're going earlier. It's only costing me 10 more points total for the November dates vs early December (1 bedroom).

We are going for a 1br(for us) and a 2br(for my brothers family).....hopefully it will work out........November 20-25!

The Christmas decorations go up right after Thanksgiving and it's just beautiful! Be sure to check out the lobby of the Grand Floridian--they had a huge gingerbread house last time we were there! We went the first week of December in 2002 and it was great, crowds were light. Hope it's the same way this year. We're booked at SSR.

Yep, love the big tree in the GF too but always have to have a gingerbread cookie. Two years ago (2003) they had a group of cast members singing carols in the lobby and we were drafted as honorary cast members and joined in.

We'll book SSR now and hope to move to one of the DVC resorts we haven't stayed at when we hit the 7 month window.

The Christmas decorations at the resorts were up by Nov 6th this year. We couldn't believe all the music at the BWV was Christmas! I thought the CMs would be Christmased out by the end of December! Over the week the parks were decorated.

I would really be surprised if OKW is already booked solid for Thanksgiving week. I'm sure you will find availability. Let us know how you do, OK?

I'd be interested to know the status of BWV std views for that week.

I booked my BWV 2BR STD, for thanksgiving 2005 booking day-by-day... Still wondering if that was really necessary...Anyway, we're in for TG'05!
