Hi guys! We are planning a trip to check in the Thursday prior to Thanksgiving with checkout the day before Thanksgiving. I have a few questions....and need your wonderful advice!!

1. I've checked on EasyWDW's website and we are at green parks all week. How bad will the crowds be this time frame leading up to Thanksgiving day?

2. How soon do I need to buy MVMCP tickets for Friday Nov 21?? Will it sell out b/c it is leading up to Thanksgiving week?? Any other advice for that party such as must sees?? What time is the party?? I know it starts at 7pm but when does it end? How do I find parade and firework schedules for that?

3. What is your best advice about Osborne Christmas lights? We are going to be there Sunday, Nov 23. What time does it start? How early would you get there? What's the best place to sit/stand to get the best view? We went back in 2005 but that was a while back and honestly I don't remember what we did!

Sorry to bombard with questions but I know you guys have the best tips!! Thanks so much!!

From our experience the parks grow increasingly more crowded the closer you get to the holiday, as you might expect. It is a busy time. Having said that, I think you will face mainly moderate crowds for the most part.

MVMCP is very popular. Personally, I would purchase tickets beforehand because I have found weekends to be busier. If memory serves, I think it is from 7-12am. There are 2 performances of the holiday parade.

The Osborne Lights is terrific and great fun. The lights go on around dusk, roughly 6:00 pm, but getting your "spot" a bit early is a great idea. You can really start from anywhere; we tend to enter from the Muppets area so that we get a good view down the street to get the full effect. There is a light show every 1/2 hour or so where the lights "dance" and flash to the music and "snow" begins to fall. It is really magical and quite beautiful. You will need to walk around to see everything and it can be quite a crush of people. But it really is a wonderful experience. :goodvibes

1. The party runs from 7-12. I think the times for the fireworks and the parades at the parties have been the same for years - 8:15 and 10:30 for the parades, and 9:30 for Wishes. Check here for more information:

2. You only need a "spot" if you're going to be there right when they turn the lights on. The lights extend over the entire Streets of America section, and you'll definitely have to walk around to see everything.

If you know you want to attend that specific party, buy your tickets now. The party doesn't run during Thanksgiving week so the 21st may sell out. With your party ticket, you will be able to enter MK @ 4:00 and have three in-park hours before the party begins.

I ordered my tickets for the 14th and already received the tickets (chose to receive an actual ticket versus will call...I like them as souvenirs). But I was disappointed in how they look. They aren't "Christmasy" at all. They are a bright lime green with a character on each one. They used to have a holiday theme.

I have tickets from the 2007, 2006 and 1998 parties, and none of them have a holiday theme.

We are going to be there 11/12-11/21 and I've already purchased and received our party tickets for the 20th... I would pre-purchase so you know you have your tickets in hand.

I'm hoping the Osborne Lights will be up and running before we leave.

The Osborne Lights begin the same night as the first MVMCP. You will be able to see them!:)
