Thanksgiving room only discounts?

When do the room only discounts 1st come out for Thanksgiving through 1st week if Dec stays and what percent should I expect off for Value? I’m used to looking for 20%, minimally 15% but have not stayed on property during this time and it appears to be 10% if booked today. If it comes out as late as Aug/Sept, that makes it tough to plan offsite vs on-site. So hoping you guys might know what the usual discount and timing might be. Thank you.

If concerned about making it early enough for RD Ea day, does that mean to avoid the Disney springs resorts - if buses only start circulating an hr before park open (suppose u could Uber everyday). Or are there certain offsite resorts you’d also consider for a fam of 4 adults on a low budget, not wanting to drive? With Star Wars next fall plus Thanksgiving I wouldn’t think WDW needs fall discounts to fill the rooms in advance. Had modest luck with the orbits/travelocity discounts for the all stars - better than disney pricing- but thinking we might need to look into offsite too if it’s really now $170/night at Sports that week.
