thanksgiving points

I just made reservations for BWV - 2BR for Nov 21 -28. The points chart says 326 points are needed for this week. When I made the ressie, I was told I only neede 312. I asked her to break it down day by day and was told 32, 32, 32, 40, 40, 75, 75. My calculator may be broken, but that adds up to 326. Is there a discount for booking a week at a time? Is my math bad? What's up????

Using the 2004 point chart in the 2002 - 2003 Member Guidebook I get 312 points. The night of the 27th is in Choice season and a preferred view 2 bedroom is 61 points not 75 points. You may have been looking at the 2003 chart.

You can print point charts until you get your materials - courtesy of the DIS. Click on the link for DVC Points Chart at the top fo the Forum.

We will be at the BCV November 20-26 in a 2 Bdrm. Our total points are 237. Wow it sure is costly to stay the weekend after Thanksgiving. My husband thinks I am crazy but we are already looking for flights from Indiana. Have a couple of choices of where to fly out of so I am already looking.

I don't think you are crazy at all - on the contrary, I think you are wise to start looking early. I've already booked our flights for our late November/early December trip.

I learned the hard way that when a reasonable price for the times and dates I prefer shows up, it's best to jump on it right away! That's especially true if non-stop flights are needed/wanted.

We don't have a lot of reasonably priced choices out of MSP, and I usually find the better prices & times 10 -11 months prior to departure.

We'll be in a 2bdrm at OKW 11/20 - 11/27. My sister and her crew will be at their MVC, Grande Vista. Bought airfare on 1/1/04, called my BIL and they did the same. Even booked my rental mini-van. In my experience, many times the early bird gets the worm during a peak travel time.
