One of the pies we have each year is a millionaire pie from Furr's Cafeteria. They are to die for!!!!!!! I think I'll buy two of them this year since that pie always seems to be the most popular.

My 2nd favorite in general is cherry pie.

While, I love pumpkin pie....chess pie is also one of my favorites. Chess Pie is sometimes called "just pie" in the South. The name is believed to have come from a "misunderstanding". During the Civil War, the Union soldiers would ask, "what kind of pie" it was. The response was “jes pie” (just pie), but they heard it as "chess pie". It's plain custard pie and is nothing fancy (but is VERY sweet). If you haven't had it before it's worth trying.
