Thanksgiving Park Hours

We are planning a trip for the week of Thanksgiving. Looking at the park hours that are posted now, I am thinking they may be extended due to it being a holiday week. Does anyone know when Disney updates their hours if they decide to do so? Also, I found the park hours for the same week last year online. Is this a good representation of what hours could potentially be this year? Thanks in advance for any insights anyone has!

I can't remember exactly when they changed last year. I think you're safe going by last year's hours.

Thanks for that info! Are there ever any Extra Magic Hours added on when the hours are updated? I am curious because last year there was an additional evening EMH for MK on Monday that isn’t on the schedule this year. All other EMH for this year seem to be scheduled the same as last year.

Are you getting that Monday info from the WDWInfo calendar? I think that may be mislabeled... I don’t think there were EMHs that Monday last year (although not 100% sure about that).

I'm hoping they wait until less than 30 days before they update hours. We're not staying onsite, and I want to get some FP for the newer rides for my kids! I figure extended hours with added FP are my only chance.

Typically over the holidays they could update the hours the week of. It just depends. Usually it will be a couple weeks to a month before.

We’ve gone the past two years over thanksgiving week (and are returning this year). I fully expect the hours to get extended. Last year it was early November I believe when they extended hours.

i really thought MK opened at 8 am all week with emh at 7 on the days they had that but I could be wrong.

MK will not open before 9 AM on 11/18 or 11/20. There is a ticked event at 7:45 AM.

You are correct. Last year MK opened at 8 on regular days and 7 on EMH days. But, as the PP said, they have scheduled some Early Morning Magic on Sunday and Monday this year, so they will not have 8 o'clock openings on those 2 days.

FWIW, Disney cancelled a few EMM dates in Oct and Nov a few weeks ago (presumably due to park hour changes). I’m still not convinced someone’s not going to wake up and realize they have two scheduled Thanksgiving week and they cancel those too, but who knows!

It boggles my mind that they would have even considered scheduling those during Thanksgiving week, let alone actually do it.

I hope not too! We are scheduled for Sunday, 11/18. Right now it’s still showing up in MDE...I hope it stays there!

I noticed they don’t have any HS EMM scheduled that whole week. I’m surprised they would schedule that at MK for that week too. Will see if it holds.
