Would love to hear from you folks that have dined on or off property for THanksgiving and where you enjoyed the most??

Thanks so much will be first time at Thanksgiving!

Not trying to freak you out...Not sure if you have booked anything yet, but you need to move asap. Most people going that week have had their adrs booked for awhile, especially Thanksgiving day.You may not get your first choice, at least on property. Not sure about off property.

Yes I just planned this last minute really and thats why I am hoping for some choices ans suggestions!

We flew in last year on Thanksgiving and ate dinner at Trails End in Fort Wilderness.
It was a good meal and we were a bit more relaxed not having to try to get into the parks that day.

We're eating at Boma for Thanksgiving.

I agree with the other poster, things are going to be very limited at this point. Do you know where you want to be on Thanksgiving, which park/area, or does it not matter?

If you know where you want to be, I'd call Disney Dining (assuming you want to eat on property), and ask what's available for Thanksgiving Day in that park. Another thing I've heard about people doing is to have the "Thanksgiving" meal on Wednesday evening, and do counter service on Thanksgiving day. From what I've found about previous years, it seems that a lot of the resort food courts will offer a traditional Thanksgiving dinner as an option.

Good luck, I hope this helps!

I can't help with off site places either. I would say your best bet is to call dining and ask what restaurants are available for your party size.

With all the new offers and people switching dates you might get lucky. I also have heard that the counter service places serve traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

Good Luck!

Hope you have better luck getting an ADR than we did! (We have a group of 8.) The only place we could get was "Thanksgiving at the Fort" aka Mickey's Backyard BBQ (but with a Turkey / Ham dinner) at 12 pm, outside, no assigned seating, for around $50 per person (2 TS). We booked this a week or so ago - can't remember exactly. I've been told that "worst case scenario" the resort food courts should be serving a "Thanksgiving" menu. Don't know for sure though. I've called back occasionally for other options, but had no luck! As a party of 3, hopefully you'll have more options.

DIS site has info on where to get a "traditional" dinner:

We have a reservation @ Emeril's Universal Orlando CityWalk. It's our favorite Orlando restaurant, but we would cancel for a "special" Thanksgiving meal that is only offered that one day a year. So far, I haven't found that. Opentable.com has several Orlando restaurants available for that day, since you're also interested in offsite. Good luck with your search.
