Thanksgiving Ideas

We ate at Chef Mickey's. They served turkey and cranberry dressing. We really enjoyed our meal. Our two girls had a wonderful time meeting the characters! GREAT SERVICE and a family picture was icing on cake- oh I mean sprinkles on the sundae. Lots of other desserts too.::MinnieMo One word of advice - I think dining at a resort restaurant on Thanksgiving day is a safer bet than dining in the parks. The crowds at MK on Thanksgiving evening were huge.

THAT sounds delish!!!!!!!! Thank you for posting that...think you just helped me narrow down some choices. Anyone ever done Rose and Crown for Thanksgiving? I was thinking Epcot all day, dinner there...ADR around 8ish...and then Illuminations.

We did it in 2006 and had a great table overlooking the water. Thanksgiving food was very good, and we got some non-traditional appetizers as well. Their pumpkin trifle was the best pumpkin dessert I ever ate. Just made an ADR for T'giving lunch there for us again.

Traditional - Liberty Tree
Nice Dinner - Le Cellier
But my family likes Thanksgiving at the Fort. We've done it several times.

Just wanted to add that LeCellier offers a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We ate there for lunch last Thanksgiving--in addition to the traditional Thanksgiving offering (which I had and was wonderful), they also had their full dinner menu for lunch. Great option for those who can't get a dinner ADR that time of year.

Several times in the past we've gone to Whispering Canyon. We loved it. However, this year the kids wanted to try somewhere else, so they decided on Olivia's since we're staying at OKW. I saw a notation somewhere on the web that Olivia's serves a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Hopefully it was correct. ::MinnieMo

Hi, We dined at Citricos on Thanksgiving 2009 and it was EXCELLENT food wise. Service was about a B-. Usually I would rate their service an A. The restaurant was VERY busy but our server was just not very attentive. There were 5 of us dining. I had the Turkey dinner, and it was VERY good. They do have a reduced menu for the Holiday. We dined at 5pm and I believe they opened at 3pm. And as always you cannot beat the atmosphere IMHO!! Joan

we did thanksgiving at 1900 park fare in 2008 and all of us LOVED it. They had a traditional buffet, as well as regular items, and things such as cheese pizza for the kids. Plus the desserts were really good, and you get the characters too. We'd definitely go back there.
