We are staying in Disney over Thanksgiving this year and I would appreciate any dining suggestions. We are staying on site and we will have a car. Thanks for your input!

We liked Boma. It had a nice mix of its usual African fare plus Thanksgiving items.

You need to start with whatever is still available. You are very late in considering Thanksgiving ADR's for a very busy day/ week. Folks made these ADR's in May.
Good Luck

Definitely just see what is available for your party, first! How many people? We did Thanksgiving with 15 people in 2004. We all ate at Cinderella's Castle, but we did it during the firework show. So it was a late meal, but we all ate together. And watching the Fireworks through the stained glass was quite beautiful.

Are you looking more for the best Thanksgiving food, a place best for family, or atmosphere? Top family restaurant for us, hands down, is O'hana! It's fantastic for the family and SO MUCH FOOD. This is another one we've done during the MK fireworks. You can see them, and they play the music in the restaurant that goes along with the show.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Le Cellier when it was still a 1-credit restaurant (2009). It was wonderful, but just about every TS restaurant will be doing Thanksgiving dinner that day. It will be hard to find one that isn't doing Thanksgiving dinner.

Boma is a good idea. We always like Artist Point too.

If you can't get a Disney reservation, look at the Gaylord Palms.

Liberty Tree Tavern seems the most "Thanksgiving-ish" to me. If we were there then, that would be my #1 choice.

I thnk you may be choosing what is left rather than what you want. Given a choice, and if I wanted thanksgiving food and theme, I woudl choose Liberty Tree Tavern. We usually do nto go that route when we are not home for the Holiday though, and use that opportunity to schedule something way different. The last time we were in Disney on Thanksgiving Day we booked Spirit of Aloha.

We have done Captain's Grille before and that's what we are doing again. They have a brunch and it is a buffet so you can get a bit of everything.

You are correct. There wasn't much available, and what there was ran 9pm or later. We ended up getting the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs at 8pm. While we have never tried this restaurant, I think it will be fine. I also tried for a late lunch and there were only a few ethnic restaurants available. Thank you for the suggestions.

Reviews of the Turf Club at SSR have been mixed traditionally, but my wife and I were there in 2014 and thought it was terrific. Some unique menu choices--like the grilled romaine salad and root beer brined pork chop; although not very "Thanksgiving" I realize!--and excellent, attentive service. I even remember our server's name: "Tobi". She was outstanding and left a strong impression on both of us.

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful Thanksgiving meal!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I am thankful I found some place. If Toni is there I'll be sure to Let her know that she.made a positive impression and is now famous on the Disboards!

We ate there and enjoyed it - granted it was back in 2011, but I'd return if it was convenient. I don't know if they add a traditional Thanksgiving meal to their regular menu but that's a possibility :)
If you'd like someplace else you can always just keep checking; something else may open between now and then. We'll be there for Thanksgiving, too :goodvibes

I have a lunch ressie for Crystal Palace on Thanksgiving. Can anyone speak to whether or not they include traditional Thanksgiving fare on the buffet?

My cousin, who is as big a foodie as they come, has eaten at Liberty Tree several times for Thanksgiving and has given me plenty of positive feedback regarding the experience. It's as traditional as you can get in terms of both food and atmosphere.
