Thanksgiving Day

Our friends are arriving on Thanksgiving Day for a 5 day stay at Riverside....could someone give me any info on the crowds or suggestions besides fast pass, etc ....they were there 14 yrs ago and said it was empty....I had to chuckle.....we are DVC and go every yr in Oct.....but a holiday.yikes.......

We arrive on T-Day also. We have PS's at Chef Mickeys at 5:15. Staying at BWV. So, how crowded are the parks? Well, when we get done eating at CM's, we'll walk over to MK and take a look see. I have a feeling it's going to be a zoo there. But, the park is open until midnight. So maybe the crowds will thin out. The other parks have been reported to be less crowded. Fast passes probably are gone by noon.

The crowds will definitely be heavier Thursday-Friday-Saturday and probably Sunday than they will be on Monday and the following week. Hopefully it will not be as bad as summertime, but with many trips rescheduled due to hurricanes, it's anybody's guess.

You definitely need a PS if you want a sit-down, Thanksgiving Day holiday meal.

Have an idea of what you want to do each day, but if the crowds make it difficult to accomplish everything on your list, just remember what you are really looking for -- usually to have fun and relax -- and that this can be accomplished in many ways. (Like when kids sometimes have more fun playing with the boxes than with what came in the boxes!)

The weather looks like highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s. 10-30% chance of rain each day. I personally am hoping for it to be a little warmer, but I'm sure it will be warmer than the weather at home!
