Thanksgiving crowds?

Are the crowds at DL really bad during Thanksgiving weekend? Our 1st trip was 2 years ago over Memorial Day weekend, and it was pretty bad. We spent more time at CA than DLP. We want to go see the Christmas decorations and are considering either Thanksgiving or the second weekend in Dec. (If we go during the holiday weekend we'll have an extra day and not have to use valuable vacation days.)

We were in DL last year for Thanksgiving weekend. I didn't find it that crowded. We got fast passes for any ride that had a line longer than 20 minutes and it worked out well for us.

As a general rule, DL is VERY crowded on the T'giving weekend. In any case, on a relative scale you are likely to find it much less crowded the second weekend in December, as schools aren't on vacation yet. You also stand a pretty good chance of having great weather!

We were there last year on the Sunday and Monday after Thanksgiving, and for us, it seemed pretty crowded, especially for a Monday. This year we are going to let a week go by and then go.
