We are going to WDW Nov 25 - 29 (Thanksgiving).

We typically go to WDW in September and Feb, when it is slow. This year we are meeting friends there over Thanksgiving because our college team is playing in a basketball tournament on Disney property. Because we are doing park time around the game schedule, we will have a hard time booking fast passes in advance (although we will certainly try and adjust as needed).

Crowd calendar says 8/10 and 9/10.....is it going to be insane????

Daughter is four and has been over 15 times, so it's not like we MUST do anything. Plus, she will be going back in Feb. But I was just thinking about our trip and got a wave of Disney crowd panic. ;)

To me Thanksgiving is just as crowded (if not more) as any summer days in the parks. I say more than summer as Thanksgiving is such a short holiday window, where as summer is much longer giving people a larger window to come. There are a lot of people, though the weather is much better :)

I've been to that tournament every year since it came along here in Orlando. Give yourself PLENTY of time to get there before your team tips off. Major traffic issues at the Wide World of Sorts as they typically have little league sports tournaments going on at the same time of year. Where you will have to park is no where near the event venue either. So factor in that walk as well.

We were there last Thanksgiving week. It wasn't bad IMO at all. We have been though during summer and Easter and that didn't bother us either. I think since you have been before and have no need to do everything you will be OK. We did hang out at the pool all day Thanksgiving day however, no park, and I planned all parks accordingly & FP were booked at my 60day. I tried a few last minute changes to FP and found that it couldn't be done day of. Maybe 24 hrs in advance I had some luck. We were there over 11 days and weren't in any rush with anything. I think that ANY time at Disney can be doable with the mindset that everything will not get done, and that people will be everywhere.
