Thanksgiving Camping turns into off site with family in May

We sorted our ebay pins tonight and the kids picked the ones they wanted to keep and loaded their lanyards with traders – we still have a bag full to trade but they’ll only take a limited number each into the parks to trade.

Ugg! I tripped on a shoe last night when I was bringing the dog in from our walk. I thought I could sleep it off but my ankle hurt something bad this morning - just a bad sprain but 5 Fridays before Disney I get a new air cast to wear

Ankle is starting to feel better – thankfully.

I’ve got a couple of bags packed so lets share some photos

And then there is my park bag – it’s not an ideal park bag (just a tote with lots of open pockets) but since we plan to have a stroller it’s exactly what I wanted to bring. I love all the pockets

so do you count down until the day you leave or the day you arrive at Disney?????

I'm counting down till the day we arrive at Disney because we're actually leaving 4 days before the whole story is in my ptr, but we have a family reunion in Florida a couple days before Disney.

At work I'm counting down until we arrive at Disney (27 days) but at home the kids are counting down until we leave so 25 days. anyway you look at it less than 4 weeks

Tyra is exactly 40 inches tall –woohoo I don’t know if she’ll decide to ride everything she can but nice to know she has more options. 2 of my nieces are at 38 inches and then the other one is only 1 so there will always be someone sitting off a ride - it’s not that big of a deal. Now we just have to remind her to always stand up straight when she’s being measured b/c she is exactly at the 40 inch mark I'd hate to disappoint her.

Devin is at 47.5 and that’s standing up straight. I think Prevail Whirl is closed while we are there and Rock n Roller coaster is definitely too much for him as well as the water slides so all will be well as far as he’s concerned.

Looks like park hours have been extended and Fantasmic shows added. Not that we plan to see Fantasmic but that means that hopefully not too many people will be crowding DHS all at once. Since DHS will now be open until 10 on our AK day, I am planning on definitely hoping over there. We’ll do AK in the morning and then sometime after lunch we’ll change over to the Studios (maybe taking a break back at the timeshare if we need it). I know we won’t be able to do many of the bigger rides coming in mid day but we should be able to take it slow and see the shows – something we haven’t done much of in the past at the Studios.

In exactly 3 weeks I'll be finishing up my breakfast with my princess pals and we'll be getting ready to begin our day in Tyler's favorite park - EPCOT.

Disney Visa Rewards Card came in the mail yesterday - woohoo - love extra bonus money.

This time Friday I'll be counting down the minutes until Tyler gets off the bus - that is assuming that DH & DMIL can get off work around 3 or 4 - and we'll be on the road.

this time Friday, we'll be sitting on the train waiting to take off (approx 4pm) for Disney!!

Tonight the kids put their stickers on their countdown calendars that they have hanging on their bedroom doors - Tyra comes out to the living room and starts doing a touchdown dance and singing "5 more days till Dizzy World, 5 more days till Dizzy World" (she really did look like this banana)

this time Friday, we'll be sitting on the train waiting to take off (approx 4pm) for Disney!!

Cute story to pass the time at work - I really don't want to be here but there's soo much I need to get done before we leave.

Last night while waiting for Ty's chorus concert to begin Devin was playing the “plus and take away game” (you know we give math problems and he solves them – everything he can do on his fingers but still problems like 5+3-2=?) Anyway I threw him a curve ball and said “so what’s 7 + 4” He thought for a minute and says “I don’t know, I don’t have 11 fingers”
