Thanksgiving 2008 planning

We are hoping to have our first trip since becoming DVC members over the Thanksgiving 2008 week. Going down the weekend before and staying until saturday or sunday after. Are home resort is AKV and we don't really care where we stay, but since it is part of a holiday week, should we book a day by day reservation at AKV and then at 7 month see if something else is available somewhere else if we want. I feel like if something else is available when we are traveling it would be a good oppurtunity to try staying somewhere else other than our "Home" because hopefully we should be able to stay there whenever we want to travel. I would love to stay at the BWV, BCV, OKW sometime!!!!
