We had a reservation at Jiko for Thanksgiving, but my family wasn't too thrilled (I know, what can I tell you, I really wanted to try it) so I went to Guest Relations at the Boardwalk and got reservations at Le Cellier for Thanksgiving (THE family favorite) at 6:00PM - Wow! - so we cancelled Jiko.
They offered the regular menu with a special traditional Thanksgiving menu.
Well, 2 of us had the turkey dinner and I was told it was the best they ever had - good thing I'm not insulted easily

. The traditional dinner was part of the "Happy Thanksgiving Menu" so it included the appetizer (we had cheese soup and spicy chicken and chipotle sausage - great but spicy), turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, and the dessert (we chose maple crème brulee and Canadian chocolate moose). On the 2008 basic dining plan they offered ap, entree and dessert for certain menu items - no substitutions.
The rest of us had the filet which was fantastic and the NY strip, also great. I had my filet with the mushrooms but DS was able to get it without and substituted mashed potatoes for the risotto. We also had dessert with the dining plan. I had the special pumpkin crème brulee and it was wonderful. Our server Daniel (hope I can say that) was absolutely fantastic. As expected, the restaurant was filled but we never felt rushed.
We were very lucky to get a reservation here a few days before Thanksgiving. We were also lucky enough to get reservations at Le Cellier on Friday too for the CP Pkg, but we made those the first day those reservations were available. I would recommend calling as soon as you can with your choice. The restaurants fill up quickly.
Things may change in 2009, but I hope our experience helps. It is a great time to go!
