Thanksgiving 2008 (Let's Do Our Count Down)

We'll be at ASMu 11/22 - 11/29.

It appears to me that Disney is delaying much of the entertainment for the holidays this year. I'm guessing that they are anticipating lower crowd levels, but that's just speculation on my part.

I do believe their is a reasonable hope that they will have previews of the lights during Thanksgiving week. I'll certainly be checking and asking.

I sure hope so. I'm guessing HS will be PACKED on 11/28! I know that's when we're planning on going. That's the one thing I've never liked about ADR's and the dining plan. If you change your schedule, your ADR's have to be changed. But I may consider changing my plan if I find out the lights are being lit early.

Great to hear! This will be our first Thanksgiving. We usually go in early December but due to school schedules can't do that this year. We're hoping the crowds won't be so bad this year.

I've read on several different posts that there is almost always a preview, so I think the odds are good. I've also read that the "dancing lights" part generally does not preview.

Our flight went from 9:45 arrival to 11pm arrival recently. I was horrified and called United to see if they could help me. They got me on a 1:15 flight arriving at 5 pm---way better.

I try and think of myself as a smart mom...two days after I was put on the 1:15p.m. flight, they opened up a 9:30 a.m. flight. I begged and got put on. Lucky for my family, I'm a planner(at least on vacation). I got an ADR for our arrival night at the 180 day mark just in case our flight got switched and we were able to arrive earlier in the day. I figured I could always cancel it. Now I just have to wait, pack and get excited!!

I will be at CBR from 11/28-12/6...I am so excited. Our final payment was due on Tuesday...it feels real now.
