Thanksgiving 2007!!!

You guys are too good of a group to be on page 3!!!!;)

Uh-oh, is that how far we've slipped? I have this thread 'bookmarked' and click on 'view first unread.' Still, everyone seems slow posting these days.:surfweb:
Summer's already here for a lot of cruisers. I'm guessing some people are busy (with the 'fun' activities summertime brings.)

Does anyone else here have any vacations planned for summer? Rob, Rachel and I are meeting up with the Millers (WMiller86) and the Eppards (Doogierunner) for a RCCL Southern Caribbean cruise July 1st. One reason we're so excited is we're sailing with friends we've met from the DISboards. (An FYI for those of you new to this thread, or anyone:), ) stay in touch with the group with whom you've sailed (as many of us here have done.) It's a great way to plan another trip, and you already know that the people you're meeting up with are most likely going to have a good time.

Logan and Leah finished school this past Friday. June and July are filled with a few Scout camping trips, and a trip to RI in July to visit with a bunch of friends I have made from the DIS over the past few years.

Leah and I will be going to DC this Saturday for the national Girl Scout sing a long day. It's going to be a long day, but lots of fun.

Enjoy your upcoming cruise! What ship will you be sailing on?

Isn't it great to meet up with friends from previous trips? I wish we'd known about the DISboards when we first sailed. (Didn't know about them until two years later!)

We're sailing Adventure of the Seas out of San Juan. We've sailed RCCL one other time, but I like the Magic better. (But we certainly like RCCL's prices even more!):lmao:

I agree with you about the price comparison! After our Thanksgiving cruise, I think I'd like to try the Freedom of the Seas next.

We were thinking the same thing about going on Freedom or Liberty. We love DCL but if they continue to raise their prices... I wonder what the prices will be for the 2 new ships???:confused3

Well, DCL truly is one in which 'you get what you pay for,' in my book. It is more $$, but we were disappointed in the other cruise lines we sailed after sailing with Disney. (Carnival and RCCL, and they were the newer ships too.) I cringe to think what DCL's new ship prices will be too.:guilty: I'm fine sailing on another line, as long as I know I have another Disney cruise already booked.:teeth: (Even though it might be a year or two later! )

I love DCL and the now we always book while we are on board to get the discount and shipboard credit, but I also want to try out on RCCL's new ships the surfing pool and stuff like that. Maybe DCL will put something like that on their new ships. It is a huge hit on RCCL.

We are getting excited about the Thanksgiving cruise. This will be the first time we are going non spring/summer dates. So it could be intersting to say the least.

Hey all.......just checking in haven't been here for a while....hope all is O.K.......Kim and I are heading to Napa Valley the 22nd for the weekend and the NASCAR race....Alaska in July for 5 days then the cruise the week after U guys!

Hi everyone!! I haven't been able to check in in a few days. We are currently in Baltimore staying w/ my inlaws. Need I say more? My inlaws are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary so we decided to make a one week vacation out of the occasion. Mason had a week free b/w the end of school and the beginning of camp. Mason is having a lot of fun seeing all of the sights--we have been to downtown Baltimore, Pennsylvania (Hershey Park), Washington DC (Smithsonian and Arlington Cemetery), Virginia and West Virginia (Harper's Ferry). Boy am I exhausted!!

I am looking forward to our Thanksgiving Magic--a RELAXING vacation!!!

We've been spending a lot of time on the Cruise Critic forums lately. (They're not as much fun as the DISboards, but we've been preparing the others in our 'meet and mingle' group for Willie and Doogie's antics. Lampy, they've seen your Bon Jovi photos!:scared1: :rotfl: ) Anyway, we'll be posting here again (more frequently anyway) once we're back from that cruise.

Lisa, was Hershey Park a lot of fun? I've seen the Travel channel episode and would love to visit there.:)

Hi gang! I'm sure I'll be checking back here more often as our sail date gets closer. I need to start thinking about what excursions we're going to book. The other families I'm traveling with don't have a clue about anything, so they are looking for me to tell them what to do. :teeth:

Close to five more months to go!!!:dance3: :dance3:

Speaking of excursions, dining reservations, Kids Club reservations, etc...as a first timer on DCL, what are the timeframe windows I need to know about so I can book whatever I have to book the first day I can (I like to book stuff day 1 - obsessive planner)? TIA:thumbsup2

Hi Priscilla-

I'm sure y'all will have a great time on your July cruise!! Please tell Willie and Doogie that we say hi!! :goodvibes

Hershey Park and the town of Hershey were great!! :thumbsup2 You can smell chocolate everywhere and the street lamps have hershey kisses on top!! The rides were a lot of fun, but I am biased and feel that Disney is tops in creating a special magical atmosphere!!

I forget what the dates are, so I'll have to check on it. I'm thinking some things can be booked at either 90 or 75 days out???

Here's what I found on the DU website:

The Booking Schedule is as follows:

105 Days in Advance - Concierge Guests in Stateroom Categories 1 - 3 and guests who have reserved the Romantic Escape At Sea Package
90 Days in Advance - Castaway Cay Club Members (Repeat Guests) In any Stateroom Category
75 Days in Advance - Stateroom Categories 4 - 12

Pre-booking requires that your cruise be paid in full. Reservations can be made up until 2 days prior to your arrival.

Thanks LK!!! So looks like it is 75 days out for us. What should I look to book 75 days out?
