Thanksgiving 2007!!!

Page 4?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Some Turkeys you guys are!!!! Just figured I'd check in.....just got my room #'s for our 11/24 sailing....the EXACT same 2 as our Eastern sailing in 03......how:rotfl2: .

Oh ya, just talked to my "girlfriend" about some BC ressies and.....sorry to be the bearer of bad news......this is the first Turkeyday sailing the will NOT be a double dip at CC.....for all those wondering......:rolleyes1

Hi Lampy-

I am disappointed not to be stopping at CC twice. However, even though I live in Florida, I've only been to Key West twice. Both times on cruise stops. So, it will be nice to spend an afternoon in the Conch Republic!! :thumbsup2

Lisa

Hey Lisa, ya I was kind of dissappointed that the stop wasn't happening for you guys but my air is booked and rooms are paid.......it's up tp you to keep the Turkey tradition!

I had heard that it would not be a double dip about a month ago but thats ok with me as I have not been to Key west in a number of years and looking forward to seeing it again. I am looking into doing some diving while we are there.:thumbsup2

Rob

So Lampy, you're doing the three-day Wonder? Still not the same though, as being with the Turkey Day gang now, is it? Are you going to try to recruit anyone else for a Bon Jovi act?:rotfl2:

Nope...the 7 night Eastern the week after Thanksgiving....3800.00 less expensive and the girls REALLY want to go back to the East......looks like Trey and Tonya are sailing......I have no choice....I paid for the sailing and got the airfare....I'M DONE!!!!!!!!!

Lampy-

I'm sure you'll have a great cruise!! Say hi to Trey and Tonya for us!!! We would like to try an Eastern too, but Thanksgiving week is the perfect week for us to travel--we miss 2 1/2 days of work/school instead of 5!!! :thumbsup2

We're fortunate enough that Rachel has the entire Thanksgiving week off from school. (However, she begins school in mid-August:rolleyes: .)

Lampy, sounds as if you're in for a great time with your Eastern sailing. Trey and Tonya are a lot of fun. They were just a few doors down from us on the 05 sailing, and we had a good time visiting with them.:)

Priscilla

Hey all!!!!!!!!!!! So there I was working on my pier this morning sipping on a miller lite when my phone rang....with a 618 exchange.....I answered and it was "Momsgoofy".......She got a job transfer and works for the same company as Theresa.....Silver7....and was sitting on the Wonder in Parrot Cay eating shrimpand just had to rub it in!!!!! LOL She told me to tell everyone 'Hey"

Has anyone visited WDW in August? Rob and I have till midnight tomorrow to decide on this one (when our airline reservation cancels.)

We've always visited the parks off-season (September, November) and I'm wondering about the heat and crowds? We're booked for the Beach Club (so we can walk to Epcot and take the boat to MGM.) Do you have to wait a long time to catch a bus to MK?

We're going 'back and forth' trying to decide.

Thanks!
Priscilla

We've been there in August a couple of times. It can get extremely hot. We always try to get to the parks first thing in the morning to beat the crowds, and then head back for some swimming in the afternoon. The parks can get pretty crowded by late morning/early afternoon, but by then we've usually ridden everything we wanted. We go back to the parks in the evening when it's cooler and slightly less crowded, although EMH can make things busy again.

The later in August you go, the crowds are usually better, but I'm not sure how the free dining will factor into crowd size this year.

One would think since I've lived in Texas all my life, that I can handle the heat. NOT. And, the crowds probably wouldn't be so much of an issue if we didn't have our clothes sticking to us. We might look into going over MLK weekend in January instead.

(I'm getting a bad case of 'Disney fever!' It's hard to wait until the cruise.:sad2: I'm eager to see Mickey, and indulge in Mickey waffles and ice cream bars! )

Priscilla

Priscilla-

We've been to WDW in August and MLK weekend. The weather is much better in January and there are far fewer crowds in January. However, we love WDW any time of year!!!!!! We are going Memorial Day Weekend!!! What ever time you decide, enjoy!!! :thumbsup2

Lisa

We just got back, 5/3 - 5/8 from SSR
We had a great time.
On saturday 5/5 we helped with a youth event at a lake north of Disney called
Day 2 Remember, with 35 kids from inner city Orlando, see
www.inhiswakes.com
What a great experience!
We also did TL and AK

Happy Mothers Day to all you Diser Moms!! :thumbsup2
I hope you are enjoying your special day!! Chuck and Mason surprised me this morning w/ a new Coach handbag and wallet!!!! :cool1: Trust me, I was very surprised!! They both HATE going anywhere a Coach store and typically Chuck prefers buying gifts for the house rather than "girly" gifts!!

An update regarding Shutters from a fellow diser friend who hopefully will be joining the 2007 Turkey Magic....She and her husband and adorable daughter sailed w/ us Thanksgiving 2006.....Shutters is converting to its own photopass system--it will not be linked to the parks. The photopass may be attached to the room key card. There will be kiosks available to swipe the card and view the pictures. The pictures will still be in 6 by 8 and 8 by 10 sizes. For now, the prints will still also be on display at shutters.

Lisa, how sweet of Chuck and Mason. They certainly knew how to 'play' that one!

Did anyone else here receive their new CC cards in the mail today?

Ok now that Wille and Lampy have jumped ship and are on Captain Mickey's black list  Lets do a quick roll call and see who is still sailing:thumbsup2 Post back if you are still cruising and I will build a spreed sheet and see what the total is.

Andrew don't even think about wussing out, we will find you some replacements for the Bon Jovi gig :hippie:

Rob:yay:

Sorry to chime in so late on this, but the Rojas family is in still - it is myself, DW, DS 16, DS 8 and DD 5 (all at time of sailing of course). How is the list coming??
