On the 2006 Turkey Magic the head kids club counselor gave our DS (who had just turned 7 one month prior to the cruise) the option of being w/ the 7 year old group in the club or the 8 year old group in the lab. We didn't ask for him to be moved up, the counselor just offered after speaking to Mason while we were checking in at the port. So, Mason reviewed the activities for both the club and the lab, remembered the activities that he loved in the club (party w/ Stitch, Goofy sleepover, making flubber and making chocolate chip cookies) and chose to stay w/ the 7 year old group.

Thanks Lisa. We are traveling with another family from CA and their son is 1 year older than Ryan and I know that he will want to be in the lab instead of the club, so hopefully they will let him into the lab.

back from our sailing and she's as magical as ever. I did speak with Pikey, though i will say it was loud and he was kinda talking like i knew everything he meant..........but what i got was he would be back from the Wonder, but not in contract on the Magic but considering booking the thanksgiving week as a guest. make sense?

and, also -- GREAT news for you all -- in a heated, i mean tense discussion with the Shutters manager I did get from him that in October (drydock I presume) the Magic will be updating to photo pass. AMEN!! Hallejuah!! this is not a proven fact...just talk among friends. no suing me if it's not there andrew

the tequila/margarita tasting was a good time!

It sounds as if you had a great time. Did you rebook? I've read about photopass on the 'AllEars' website. So, does this mean that we can wait until we get home and order our photos online? I regret that we didn't get more photos from our Thanksgiving cruise, but didn't think (at the time) that I'd want as many.

priscilla -- no we didn't rebook this time. our next disney trip will be to WDW (we already have park tickets but the girls dont' know) probably June 2009 maybe June 2010. there are a few other vacation we want to take before Taylor graduates! she is a freshman already!

i would assume photo pass would be the same set-up as the parks; however he did not go into details with me. I just swooped my arms the length of the room and said "C'mon this is crazy.....you print all these pictures and I didn't ask for them" my problem was I have 6 x 8 photo frames at home awaiting photos from this cruise -- well the majority, like 85% of the photos were printed 8 x 10. including the dining room photos, embarkation (which is now a pirate themed shot like a pirate map background with a blue printed border) and characted shots (most of them) the only 6 x 8 printed were character shots. if it's considered a "portrait" it's printed in 8 x 10 -- i wanted them reprinted and was told DCL does not allow Shutters to resize the photos. ALSO -- the pictures now all have a border around them, one for each restaraunt and one for each character. maybe you'll like. i did not. they did reprint without the border but would not change size. so long and short i paid $60 more for my photos in a size i didn't want

btw -- when i spoke with Pikey some ladies overheard and asked what Turkey cruising was and he spoke very highly of the turkey gang

Wow. I'm not too crazy about having a bunch of 8 x 10s. I much prefer 6 x 8s. I'm also hoping to do the Christmas cards. (Did you notice if they still offer that?) I hope they do implement the photo-pass system. Seems as if it would be a win-win situation. (I don't like borders either.)
