Thanksgiving 2007!!!

Sad to read that Willie.:sad2: At least you'll still enjoy a Disney vacation.::MickeyMo with your family. Hold off as long as you can to rebook though? Rob and I had to cancel our Turkey Day 2005 booking, said our good-byes on the DISboards, and two mos. later work plans and family matters changed, and we ended up rebooking the same cruise (to the tune of 1200.00 more.:headache: Well worth it, as it turned out to be our most fun sailing yet.)

Willie-

We will definitely miss ya'all if your family wins out. :confused3 It was wonderful sailing with you and your family in 2004 and 2005!!! I'm sure you will have a wonderful thanksgiving vacation either at wdw or on dcl!!:thumbsup2 We have done both...in fact our wedding was at WDW over thanksgiving weekend!! :thumbsup2 However, we find the cruise to be much more of a relaxing vacation for thanksgiving!!

Mary-

On the 2006 Turkey Magic the head kids club counselor gave our DS (who had just turned 7 one month prior to the cruise) the option of being w/ the 7 year old group in the club or the 8 year old group in the lab. We didn't ask for him to be moved up, the counselor just offered after speaking to Mason while we were checking in at the port. So, Mason reviewed the activities for both the club and the lab, remembered the activities that he loved in the club (party w/ Stitch, Goofy sleepover, making flubber and making chocolate chip cookies) and chose to stay w/ the 7 year old group.

Great news...my college roommate, Sue and her son Jacob (he will be 12 at the time of the cruise) are joining us again this year!!! They were on the 2005 cruise w/ us...the one w/ the rocky 1st night and then we missed stopping at Grand Cayman and Cozumel. However, I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will have smooth sailing this year!!! :thumbsup2

Please let me know if ya'all are sailing w/ anyone in the 12 year old range....Jacob met a lot of great kids on the 2005 cruise and he's looking forward to meeting more this year.

Lisa

Lisa, I think I even remember them in line with you and Chuck when waiting to go to dinner.:) That's great!

Priscilla

hey turkeys!! we are leaving friday :woohoo: and i remembered you all asked me to ask if Pikey would still be on board for Thanksgiving, still want me too? anything else, no guarantees but i'll try to remember :teeth:

and if anyone knows the absolute bestest place ever to get key lime pie in Key West -- let me know!

PM me with either or both answers no later than thursday night

We still have our reservation on the Thanksgiving Magic.... But we also have 7 days reserved at the Boardwalk Villas(5 days) and Universal's Royal Pacific Resort(2 days). My family all swear that we are going to the parks. I swear that we are going on the Magic. But it looks like they are about to win out. I am the only one wanting to cruise. So, I guess that I will be changing the cruise to sometime in 2008. I want to keep my 10% discount and $200 stateroom credit that I got for rebooking onboard.

I am really going to miss not sailing with you all again. I have to say that the two Thanksgiving Magic sailings were about the most fun I have ever had on a vacation. And it was mostly because of the cool folks I was sailing with on those trips. You guys are really something special to the Miller Family.

I will drop by to razz Andrew every once in a while. Especially if a Florida Gator team ever loses a game.;)

Take care y'all. And........BON VOYAGE!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

A cruise without Dubbya?

It just won't be the same.

Willie, I am sorry to hear this, but I'll wait to see how it plays out for you.

It won't be the same around here without you.

And, if you are only going to stop by when the Gators lose, then we aren't going to hear from you for a long time.

Andrew....looks like you'll be sailing without Dubya and Lampy:sad1: .......just put our ressie on the eastern the next week.....booked the airfare today......we'll be at BC for Thanksgiving and Friday.......Need to call my "girlfriend". Yes, Andrew let the "stories" begin, me and Dubya at WDW:hippie:

We will miss ya'all Willie and Lampy!!! The Magic isn't the same w/o you!!! :lmao:

Lampy-Are Trey and Tonya sailing again the week after thanksgiving? They sailed that week on the Eastern last year.

Lisa

Easter 2008 is March 23rd, and Rachel's spring break week is March 15-22! AND, it's and EASTERN itinerary. (no pun intended.) Anyone here interested in becoming bunnies instead of turkies?:lmao: (The rates are lower than I thought they'd be.)

This is too much for me to take!!!!! :sad2: :headache:

What about all those dancing lessons that I have been taking?

What about my practical joke kit?

Do you expect me to cruise without a show from the Ron Bon Jovi's? :confused3

I should have know that Dubby and Lampy are a package deal.

No, it was just a suggestion. Besides, I HAVE to send out DCL Christmas cards. We already have our airline tickets too.

HOWEVER, we do have airline FF miles to redeem, and I'm going to try to sweet-talk  Rob into booking March too. There's no such thing as too many cruises for me. (Our checkbook might have a different opinion though.:lmao: )

We're looking forward to seeing everyone else on the Turkey cruise!:cheer2:

HMMMMM.... I need to check and see when my girls Spring Break is.....

Yes, Ron and I will be meeting up at WDW Thanksgiving. Won't be the same as our usual pre cruise Miller Lite "warm up", but we should be able to get into some sort of trouble!

Maybe we can figure a way to sneek you on the ship!!! Don't think those "banana heads" are ready for Lampy and Willie! By the way it's about 3500 less expensive also......more $$$$ for Mojitos and Miller lite.........

Happy Birthday Ron!:bday:

Are you serious about the cost difference?! It isn't really $3500, is it?

I don't think that we could pull the kids out of school then, but I might need to look at another week myself. Then I could stalk you and your "special friend" Dubbya at WDW.

TCD

TCD, it was 8918 for a cat. 6 and 11 for Turkeyday and 6066 for the following week......

If we sail Turkeyday the Dds are off Friday, Mon., Tues, and Wednesday and the Eastern is just 1 more day......and we spend a couple of days on the boardwalk!!!

Happy Birthday Lampy!!! :cool1:

We are staying as Turkeys. We love our tradition of cruising the week of Thanksgiving. Also, Mason is out of school Wed., Thurs and Fri and the Courts are closed Thurs and Fri the week of Thanksgiving. :thumbsup2

Next March I promised Chuck and Mason a ski trip. We have been going each March since Mason was 3. We skipped this year b/c of my new job and Chuck becoming his own boss. I don't ski, but Chuck and Mason are addicted!!!

Lisa

Thanks Lisa.....and springbreak for us next year will AGAIN be Myrtle Beach.....Kim and the girls LOVED it. Neighbors are trying to talk us into mexice but Kim HATES it....another reason for an Eastern sailing. We have't done that since 03. St. Marteen was the reason my girls took french in H.S. now they want to use it...
