I will be thinking of all of you in less than 11 days when we board the MAGIC for another week of fun and well deserved relaxation.

Chuck and Lisa, leave some of the ship intact for us NANA HEADS.

TTYL.

Tonya-

I like your design! Who knew I could be replaced so easily. :confused3

We will see about next year's shirts.

How many of you will be in shirts for your cruise?

I want to see photos of your "sea of green."

It looks like you have a fun group going with you.

Have a great time!

Hope to see you and Trey next year!

It is amazing you actually find time to practice law, Andrew..LOL.

Chuck :cool1:

Chuck- You have accurately identified the problem that I have with the DIS. It is very addictive!

Ron- You are correct- as always. The Buffalo theory in action! You must be a MENSA member by now, right? :confused3

Even though the weather in Fla. is great this time of year, it just won't seem like Thanksgiving without a visit (or two) to Castaway Cay.

I was thinking, DCL is going to be confused about the surplus Miller Lite after next week's cruise. I am sure they keep track of these things, and order a lot every November for some reason or other.

Still doing what we can about the buffalo theory, and yes, rumor had it that DCL was reducing the price of this years Turkeyday sailing due to the lack of interest....LOL

Good Morning Turkeys and Future Turkeys.

I had to post for two reasons:

1. We almost are on page two (there are sure some active threads this time of year).;

and

2. I needed this, my 11th post, to pull out of a tie for 8th place on the leader board.

Top 5 here I come!

Good morning all.

Well, it looks like there will be a competition this year to see who comes up with the best T shirt design. Andrew vs Tonya. Battle of the Titans.

Great pic of me and W! I had forgotten about that one. It seems so long ago, it's almost like it never happened.

Are we going to call ourselves 'Turkey Day cruisers' again? Or, '2nd helping of Turkey cruisers,?' (Actually, 3rd helping of Turkey for Lampy and Willie!) Was Doogie also part of the Thanksgiving 2004 sailing?

Don't forget Chuck and Lisa, and the Schaepers, John and Julia.(5J's) We all first met on the DIS Boards before our Thanksgiving 2004 sailing. Then we all re booked for 2005 together.

Anyone else I am leaving out!???

That was when we all joined with a bunch of Easter Bunnies for the 2005 sailing. (KennyK)

Every once in a while you will see a post by some of the 2004 Turkeys, that did not sail in 2005. Bill Fosbenner comes to mind. He posts often. Hi Bill! :wave2:

HI WILLIE,

We are counting down our Dec 4 day Wonder cruise, 17 days, 23 hours and 30 seconds right now. But who is counting. :cool1:

3 days to go, but who is counting...LOL. .... Actually 2 days until we leave for the port...and since we get off the boat on a Saturday morning, we booked the Vero Beach DVC for Saturday night. Tonight, we will actually start to pack.

Chuck :cool1:

Not to rub it in or anything, but I just got back to the office this afternoon. Weather in central Fla. right now is sunny, and the Expedition thermometer read 82.

Lampy should be posting snow pics soon with "lake effects". Whatever the heck that is.

Like Jimmy Buffett sings "You always take the weather with you.."

Hey- Did you know that JB is playing in Tampa tomorrow night?

The TCD's aren't going. :confused3

What knuckleheads we are!- could you imagine a Turkey Gang DIS meet at a JB concert two days before we cruised?

Don't worry- I'm going to have a lot of fun camping next week instead of sailing. Yeah, that's the ticket.

TCD

Buffett was here last night, but regretably was in west palm beach which was too far on a tuesday night.

Chuck :cool1:

For those of us Turkeys who are taking 2006 off, here is something that might make you feel a little better. A line of storms passed through central Florida last night, and the weather here today (and probably tomorrow) is not all that great. Cloudy and rainy right now. :umbrella: I still hope that the 2006 Turkeys have a great cruise, but if you are not in Florida this weekend, don't feel bad.

Also, the TCD post count continues to grow. John and Julia (5J's) are on the radar screen, and then Doogie, you are next. You had better get busy posting!

Do you all see some of the post numbers on the cruises coming up after this year's Turkey-Day cruise? What is up with the December 9th cruise? Also, Tanya and Trey's (Favorite Slave's) group looks like they are going to rock the ship!

Set the bar as high as you want, the Turkeys will represent in '07!

TCD

You folks that enjot Jimmy Buffett music should join us for the Beach music festival that will be in New Orleans in January. Lots of Buffett type bands playing, and lots of Parrot Heads.

OK Fellow Turkeys, here is a serious request for info (I thought I needed to clarify that given the nature of my posts). :rotfl2:

I booked our first cruise (on the Wonder) by calling DCL. I was clueless, and took what they offered. I booked our second cruise while on the Wonder for our first cruise.

I did not re-book while aboard the Magic last year. Can any of you veterans give me advice on who to call to book for next year. I think most of you posting on this thread re-booked on the Magic, but if any one has a good suggestion, please let me know.

I am going to have to book two cabins. On the first two cruises, we had connecting Cat. 9's. For this next cruise, I think I want to try what Willie and Lampy do (is it a Cat. 7 and an 11 across the hall?). So, what do you all suggest?

TCD

Andrew, what are you doing, looking for INFORMATION!???HERE? What do you think this place is? 411? :rotfl:

OK. We have always booked with DCL direct. But in 2005 we changed the ressie over to DU for a little rebate. ($150, I think) But I had heard that we would get great extras by being thru DU, such as a gift in the cabin, etc. But for us, there was no gifts, no better service. Only the $150 rebate. And I have heard that now the rates are the same, no matter who you book with. So, check with both.

We did rebook while onboard last year, for the 2006 Christmas cruise, then had to change to the 2007 Thanksgiving.

And yes, a balcony, or window/porthole room, with a cat 11 across the hall is what we did. But I hardly used the balcony in 2004. It let too much heat and humidity in the cabin. So last year got a porthole. Didn't really use it much either. So we are gonna go cheap next time, with two 10's.
