Thanksgiving 2007!!!

Lampy, you would do fine at a crawfish boil. Lots of beer. Lots of music. Lots of food. Lots of fun. We do a few each Spring in my backyard.

We usually invite some neighbors over, (usually the Fargos from the 04 sailing) boil some water drop in some potatoes, then after 30 mins drop in some sausage, then some corn on the cob, then some crab legs then some shrimp......take some steaks off the grill and dump it all on a picnic table covered in newspaper.......

What is that statue in the background of this photo? It looks like the Statue of Liberty, but it looks like she is holding something else instead of a torch?

No boating today........complete white out conditions! Have no fear....took home a 4 door Wrangler rubicon, have the tow straps and all.....hope someone is stuck on the way home.......:dance3:

Ron- Enjoy your snow day!

It is 70 and sunny here today.

Supposedly, we are going to get our first really cold weather this weekend. Maybe even some frost! (poor me)

I am taking a long weekend for President's Day, and heading over to WDW to camp on Friday. It might be cold. But not Indiana cold.

Oh Ron!:scared1:

Don't you wish you could do as Dorothy did in the 'Wizard of Oz..'

:tinker:

'Now, close your eyes, click your heels three times and say..'there's no place like Castaway Cay, there's no place like Castaway Cay, there's no place like Castaway Cay.' When you wake up, you'll be in Castaway Cay.

Hey, you don't have to wait too much longer until your RCCL cruise!:earsgirl:

Welcome Debbie.....Sorry to heard about you missing the x-mas sailing.....we ALWAYS fly out AT LEAST a day early, sometimes 2.

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to this cruise. Regarding flying out early, we had no control over that...or at least we didn't think so. The cruise was booked by a travel agent. They flew the west coast people out a day early, but everyone else was to arrive the morning of departure. We are paying the "deviation" fee this time around.

Welcome Debbie! I can't believe that you missed your cruise! That had to be devastating.

So there are nine of you? Give us the stats!

Don't worry about the rest of your family, you are now a part of the Turkey Day Magic family! We are just like a real family, with weird uncles and everything (Willie and Lampy).

TCD

Thanks for the warm welcome into the "Turkey Day Magic Family," weird uncles and all.

There are nine displaced St. Louis cruisers. My brother, his wife, their 5 children (ages 4-19), my husband and myself. Our children (ages 21 & 23) are not interested in cruising on Disney...they obviously did not inherit my love of Disney gene.

Strategy?

Yes, strategy....Willie and I usually find a bar somewhere in downtown disney, have a few lites and discuss "strategy". You know.....songs to be done by the "Ron Bon Jovis", hot legs contestes, etc.

Don't forget about the prank phone calls (and other mischief)!

You turkey newbies had better watch your backs.

"Ron Bon Jovis"? Hot legs contests? I'm feeling a little intimidated...

Yikes! Should we be scared?

Debbie, two things:

#1. Good job on the multiple postings. You are giving Willie a run for his money.

#2. About the prank calls, if you get a call from a man by the name of "Guillermo" who has a Texas accent and tells you that you have been upgraded to a suite, you might want to check on that further.

#3. These activities are mostly for the men-folk (Ron Bon Jovis, Disney Legs, Pirate Dancing, etc.), so you need to let your DH know.

Prank phone calls???:confused3 :rolleyes1 :cool2:

So, you don't know anything about the prank calls, Guillermo? ;)

BTW- Lampy is up a couple of posts on you.

Hey everybody, I am going to be gone for President's Day weekend from tomorrow, through Monday, so don't send out a search party, or anything. I will be back! (Going camping at WDW) (yes, again).

W and Lampy, feel free to pad your lead. You need to get way ahead of me.

Happy President's Day.

it's so nice to see that some things never change ::yes:: manly talk about beer, guns, sports; posting pictures and counting who has the most posts. ahhh...............

and even a picture of my Dad :) another Andrew i will pass along your sentiments!

just thought i'd tell you all my suitcase is on the floor and opened, ready to receive cruising items as i toss them in.

ok, i'm being smirky. sorry...........well mostly sorry

must say i'm looking forwad to smooth sailing, i still shudder to recall our first night out! we booked in April at the advice of my pedicurist at the Spa who had been working DCL for 9 yrs and told me April/May were the smoothest months.

did anyone go to the martini tasting? comments?

we have a smaller DIS group but seems to be in a growth spurt right now. Sherri (scorpio1112) was booked on the same cruise but had to postpone. shucks! off the top of my head we are: Corryn, dvc2themax, alikat99, dadluvsdisney, B&B Mom; curlybop; BlueFalconer; mickeymania.........anyone familiar? seems like a good group -- either teenages or small kids. several families main dining, we only have 3 linked for late dining.

we are parasailing at CC again and everyone but me is doing the Royal Dolphin swim in Cozumel through dolphin discovery. i'm the photographer.

otherwise, we plan to taxi to turtle farm in GC and then hit a beach. KW -- not sure yet, probably rent electric car and scoot about

am i rubbing it in? :rolleyes1
