Thanksgiving '03 - Who's going?

We are booked for our first Thanksgiving trip at BWV for Nov 23 to 26 (Sun thru Wed). We are waitlisted for Nov 26-27.

Has anyone ever gotten thru on the waitlist for a Holiday??

We are arriving in Orlando on Tuesday night before Thanksgiving and staying at Portofino Bay for two nights, but we will be "home" at the Wilderness Lodge for Thanksgiving night. We will stay there until Sunday.

Last year, I waitlisted for Thanksgiving in June and had no trouble getting a studio for our 5 night stay which began the day after Thanksgiving. Then I called Thanksgiving Day and requested a one bedroom instead of the studio and was given it right then - I called VWL myself, not Member Services as they were closed. Yes I used points, no problem!!! It was great. We have a one bedroom reserved for this year and are waitlisted for a two bedroom because my mom now wants to bring our nephew which will be great. The more, the merrier!!

There is always hope.

We are flying home thanksgiving day Maybe I am dreaming, but hope to feed the family at the buffet at the Dolfin and still get to mco by 1400... shoulda stayed a few extra days, think I need an add on
