I just read this: "WDW is installing refrigerators in all Value Resorts (no charge to guest) and will be completed by the end of April. Sounds like POP will be finished in the next week or so."

Hooray!! My theory is that Disney is tired of moving swap-fridges around and have come to the conclusion that it would actually be more efficient to put them into all rooms one time. So THANKS fridge-swappers!!!! Without you, I don't think this would have happened!! :worship:

I thought (unless it changed) they were actually beverage coolers which aren't as cold as refrigerators and don't have a frozen section.

It may 'seem' like no charge, but it wouldn't surprise me if the nightly room rate increases....then everyone pays for a fridge instead of only those that want to rent one.

Allears.net is reporting on their FB page that they are refrigerators. Other websites (mousemisers for instance) have reported that they are beverage coolers. However, they also reported that the installation would begin at ASMo, not POP, and would be completed by mid-March. No one has reported seeing a "beverage cooler" at ASMo yet. So, I guess that we will have to wait to see what happens.

But regardless, you can bet that Disney is not giving these fridges away for free. Guests staying at the value resorts will be paying for it in increased rates.
