well, with the wealth of knowledge here, I have been excitedly planning our 1st disney vacation as a family! In fact Dh nor the kids have ever been there, so we are all looking forward to it. Just a quick question, we booked, through our timeshare, a 2 bedroom at the Liki Tiki. I was just wondering if there is a certain section I want to stay in?! I know there are townhouses and high rise units....any 1 particularly better than the other?

Thanks again!

Hi..we stayed there when it was Isle of Bali in May 2000. We were in a 1 bedroom hi-rise condo (I think we were on the fourth floor). The 1 bedroom was very roomy, the bathroom was HUGE with the washer/dryer in there in a utility closet. We peeked at a 2 bedroom and it was beautiful.

We are going August 23 and I just rebooked there. I was trading a timeshare, and honestly was hoping to get a Marriott or the almighty Sheraton Vistana I read about all the time here! Liki Tiki was available and we took the condo..I never stayed in the townhouses, but I remember thinking they didn't look so great from the outside.

The building we were in was near the entrance and had a regular pool. The "water park"-which is great, but don't expect anything that you would actually pay for if you weren't there-was at least a 10 minute walk. Unfortunately, they informed me that when you reserve, you can't request a particular building. They said you can call about a month in advance and make a request then.

It's a very nice resort, not elaborate, but pretty and the rooms were very clean. There was a supermarket about 5 minutes away-you have a nice kitchen with full size appliances.

When we stayed, there was major construction on 192. I've read that it's completed. You can get to the ENTRANCE of WDW in about 15-20 minutes if memory serves me right.

Hope this helped..have a great trip!

We just came back from our stay at Liki Tiki for New Years week. DH, DD (2y) and myself ( along with my parents ). We stayed in the 900 bldg on the first floor, near the water park and the playground which was a bonus. The place is great for kids and the staff is very friendly. Our two bedroom villa was spacious and clean; the townhouses are older but have been recently refurbished, they are a bonus if going during the summer months as they have a screened in porche. We are planning on going again in May 2003 and Dec 2003. Enjoy! :Pinkbounc
