Hi
This is not really a trip report but just a message to say a big THANK YOU to everyone on here who had posted info on this wonderful site, and helped me plan my Holiday, which i have just returned from.
We had a wonderfull 21 days, a bit rocky to start with.
our villa wasnt cleaned from the previous tennent, it was quite a mess, so we requested assistance and a manager turned up with cleaning lady in tow, to clean it for us there and then
, after politely pointing out it was nearly 2am back in the UK and my 2 smallish kids were dead on thier legs , they put us in a different villa and we moved into original villa the next afternoon.
That drama over with everything else went really well.
Some tips i will be gratefull for for ever from you lot were
ROPE DROP is a must, we got so much done in that first hour or so it was unbellievable,
For example road test track 4 times in about 30 minutes, (didnt like soarin, vastly overrated)
TSM 3 times in about 45 minutes including 1 FP
Everest, ToT and aerosmith, we lost count over the 3 weeks how many rides on them.
Universal was a big surprise to us, we enjoyed the studios alot and the park was nearly totally empty the 3 times we went hardly anyone in sight for the first few hours at least,, we walked onto everything as many times as we wanted to until about 11am then the big stuff like mummy, rocket, simpsons etc were showing 30-40 min waits, everything else was still 5-10 mins wait
Didnt think much of IOA except the Hulk which was awesome, but i imagine it will be a different park once Mr Potter opens next week.
SeaWorld was good, and Kraken and Manta are top top coasters with Atlantis getting us well and trully soaked.
Discovery cove was out of this world, thanks for the people who said do it, its well worth the money if you use the ultimate package.
Water parks our favourite was Blizzard, then Aquatica then Typhoon, which is the total opposite of what we were thinking
Bought the refill mug on first visit and didnt realise the sticker on it works all the time on that day every week! so we planned our water visits around the 2 mugs we bought with different days on them, saved us quite a bit.
Photopass is great, we hunted the photographers down, and got well over 400 photos on the CD before we start editing them
Longhorn steak house, is a must we loved it there.
Cici's Pizza we tried afew times for a quick pit stop Evening meal before going back for and for fireworks etc, the cost its great if not a bit canteenish, a tip we were told is they will make any pizza you want and bring it to you, for the same money, great for my fussy wife.
Golden corral for breakfast, we tried most of the others, its deffo the best, but also the dearest!!
The people we met were really friendly and helpfull, and i never saw any stroller rage, a bit of queue jumping especially at Toy story, which annoyed me... "ride it or Fastpass it, dont expect both at the same time!!" whilst your mate stands in the queue, we did see a CM stop someone at Splash mountain and told them all to go to the back , which was great.
Photocopy your tickets, "we" lost ok "I" lost them, for universal so next time we went we just took our photocopy and they made us new ones, great tip wherever i read it.
If your Disney tickets are like ours with a magnetic strip on them, DONT put them near a magnet like in a camera case!! they erase them, and its embarresing and time consuming to get them replaced especially at rope drop when youve planned your day!!, took us a few days to figure that one out to our cost.
Water rides, if it says you will or may get wet, trust me you will be drowned by the time you come off them, splash mountain being the possible exception..
Dont get me started on pin collecting aaarrrggghhhh
I am sure there is lots of other stuff to say, but it was only meant to be a quick thank you.
So once again i Thank you all

Mike
