Thanks, but no thanks.....

Oops, I didn't realize I should be responding to those, I ignore every single one of them. I don't know what the heck they are or what to do with them. :confused3

I couldn't agree more about these invites, etc. And for me, it's not friends from school, etc., it's family members, all of whom are over 60!

Nothing like your Mother's cousin sending you Mafia Wars requests, etc...

What happened was..... This person sent me a friend request, but I didn't recognize the name at all (she just has her married name on there). I'm on a weight loss site where people have friended me from on facebook, but I don't know their last names off hand so its happened before... make sence?? So anyway, I PMed the person asking where I knew them from, and she PMed me back, telling me all about her life, etc. I just thought it would be rude if I didn't buddy her after that, but now I'm kind of regreting it! Oh well, as long as she doesn't ask me for my address or phone number, I think I'll be OK.

just unfriend her, she doesn't get a notice that it happens and can only tell if she looks thru her friend list and if she finds out who cares???

I just totally ignore the apps people send me, and every so often I go in and officially ignore them to get 'em off my list.

The places that make the applications make money from having access to all of our information along with the info of Friends of those who have the applications...just read what you're actually agreeing to next time you accept an application...I have NO interest in flat out giving my info out.

As for being part of a group getting one of those "get to know me" questionnaires, it's not person. Just don't do it. NO biggie at all!

I know it's rude but I ignore just about every request that is sent to me.

It. is. not. rude! :upsidedow

It is perfectly acceptable to ignore all of those requests. It is not indicative of how much you value that person's friendship. It's just a game and you do not need to play.

Sheesh people, facebook is not rocket science, it is a tool to use if you want to.....set it up to suit your needs and forget about what everyone else does....to each their own :thumbsup2
