This was our first family trip. We had such a great time. We can't wait to go back. We have 2 boys ages 3.5 & 5.5 who we surprised with the trip. Both sets of grandparents also went which was great and not so great at times. I was a bit overwhelmed during the planning process. I got so many great ideas & reviews from these boards I just wanted to say thank you & offer my help to anyone if you have any questions.

We stayed at The Caribbean Beach Resort. We were very happy with everything there. We'd definitely stay there again.

We ordered groceries from Goodings to be delivered to the resort. It was a bit confusing, but we'd do it again...definitely worth the effort.

We had the meal plan and we ate at Shutters, Coral Reef, Le Cellier, Flame Tree BBQ, Cosmic Rays, Chef Mickey's (breakfast) & Ohana.

So if you had any questions about anything I'd be happy to answer them. Thanks again to eveyone. I got great tips on everything from how to pack to where to stay & eat. My husband, my parents & in-laws kept raving about all the planning I did. I thought maybe I was being a bit too anal about planning, but it really payed off.

Welcome back Mommyd... glad you had a great trip! We are leaving for our first trip to WDW in 21 days, and I too have been obsessed with the planning aspects of this trip. I always have to have some kind of plan... while I sill feel a bit overwhelmed, I am willing to let it go now... almost :) I would like to know what you thought about 'Ohana. We are having dinner there our first evening, and are looking forward to it so much. I have read many varying opinions, as I am sure you did as well. What did you think? My entire family will be joining us the next day... as long as everyone understands we are not joined at the hip, hopefully the week will be great. Did you use the Magical Express by any chance?
Thanks again for any info you can provide. :wave2:

Staying at CBR in June and was wondering how long it took you to get to Chef Mickey's for Breakfast? Did you use the bus/monorail?
Glad you had a great trip :sunny: :sunny:

We are going in August courtesy of a wonderful surprise trip from my parents. We are also eating at Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's (breakfast) & Ohana. Chef Mickey's they have been to but the other 2 are new to all of us. I am a Disney newbie this will be my first time. I was just wondering what you thought of those restaurants. TIA!

We went to Ohana on our last night there and it was our favorite. The food was great. The staff was so friendly. There was plenty of room (tables were spread out). The kids had a ball doing the coconut races. We'll definitely be going back on our next trip. We had a blast there.

We did use Magical Express. I'd use it again, but make sure you pack anything you might need right away in your carry-on. Our flight landed around noon and we didn't get our luggage until almost 5:00.

We had a late reservation at Chef Mickey's (11:10). It was our first morning there and Magic Kingdom had early magic hours so we took an early bus to MK for the early opening and then took the monorail from MK to the Contemporary.

I think someone also asked about LeCellier. The kids stayed with their grandparents and my husband and I went with friends of ours who were also there. The food was very good. We both had the filet with the maple BBQ and it was great. The cheese soup was very good.

I also wanted to say something about the meal plan. It was well worth the money. My friends did not get the meal plan and they kept commenting about how much they were spending on meals and how they should have gotten the meal plan. My family are also big eaters and it was more than enough food.

I hope that answers all the questions so far. I'd be happy to answer any others.

Hi! Just wondering what dates you were there?

We checked in at CBR on Friday May 12 & checked out on Sat. May 20.

We were in Aruba building 54.

We loved it!!

We were there from 5/10-5/16. We were in Martinique.

We loved it too! The room had plenty of room for all of our stuff. I loved all the little nooks to store things in. We also loved getting ice cream in the food court around 8:50 and then eating it while we watched Illuminations from a bench outside. My Mom has bad arthritus in her knee so my parents didn't go to the parks with us too much, but eating ice cream while watching the fireworks was a special thing that we could all do together. I doubt my parents will be able to go with us in the future so it's a nice memory for all of us.
