Just arrived back home from a vacation to WDW Dec 31 - Jan 10th.
Unfortunately, for EVERY dark ride (i.e. Haunted Mansion, PotC, even DINOSAUR) someone in the car (boat, area) we were in would take a flash photo. Not only does this BLIND everyone else trying to enjoy the ride, but I can only imagine that this ruins the "first-time" experience for people who are on their first trip. Of course, I am there to growl at these people and tell them "no flash photos."
But... the last few days of really being annoyed by this, and tired of being labeled a be-yotch... I began to ask the CMs letting people on these rides to explicitly announce "no flash photography" before taking off. Every single CM I asked was totally nice about it and I never got the "rolling-of-the-eyes" "OK, lady" look that I expected. I just really wanted to thank the CMs for being so cool about making my experience (and everyone else's) more enjoyable!
Never have I had such a barage of people (a) talking loudly throughout an entire ride, and (b) taking pictures of EVERYTHING in each ride (dark or not)... as I had this last week. It was either the result of a language barrier or complete narcissism. I just don't understand why anyone would want to look at a photo album of decorations and rides... with no people to be found.
