We returned Sunday from 8 days at the World. I would like to say thank you to Pocahontas that was at Animal Kingdom on Thursday, May 24th. My DD2 LOVED the "face" characters, but was terrified of all of the others. Pocahontas was meeting guests at Rafiki's Planet Watch about six feet away from Rafiki. My DD was too afraid to go see her because Rafiki was too close, so Pocahontas took DD by the hand, told everyone in line to wait where they were, and took her to the other side of the room to talk to her. She could not even see Rafiki from where they were. Pocahontas bent down and talked to her and hugged her. My DD did not even know who Pocahontas was before this encounter. Now she loves her just as much as (if not more than) the Princesses. Most of the time when meeting the characters the CM's try to rush everyone through as quickly as possible, so it was nice to see them take the extra time to take a frightened child and calm her. THANK YOU POCAHONTAS!!!
