I have yet to experience FEA as we won't be there until September, but I wanted to take this time to give a hearty thank you to this ride. You will make touring EP in September so much easier for us:

1) I will get one FP+, ride it, and undoubtedly wonder in my head, why on earth people would wait 5 hours to do this (probably the same people that waited 5 hours for Mine Train, then exclaimed "I waited 5 hours - FOR THAT?!?

If I'm standing in line all the way back to China for a 5 minute ride, Walt Disney himself better be at the end of the ride shaking hands and giving away Dole Whips.

2) By becoming a guest magnet, you will keep people away from my beloved Soarin and Test Track, keeping wait times there manageable and FP more available.

3)Keep breaking down too, because people will just want to ride you more. Remember, if you can't get a FP, it MUST mean the ride is great.

Yes, Frozen Ever After, you are now my favorite attraction in Epcot. Curse you.

Have you looked at the wait times for Soarin and TT lately? I don't see FEA affecting the wait times there too much. FEA is also drawing more people to Epcot in general.

If you have multiple days at Epcot, try to get a fp for FEA each time early in the day. Chances are it will break down and you'll have an anytime fp for Soarin or Test Track.

This might be a good strategy. But as the ride gets a bit more reliable and breaks down less, you will just have a FP for FEA.

Are the anytime FP digital? Or do you have to show up at the down attraction to get a paper pass?

I think, as the new ride luster wears off a bit, the higher crowds in EPCOT will dwindle . .. . . then again, there is the whole Toy Story Midway Mania thing, so maybe I'm wrong lol.

FEA is a very well done makeover, but I wouldn't wait more than 30-40 minutes for it. And we also noticed that the posted wait time at Soarin was way over estimated. The day after the new Soarin opened we were going to bite the bullet and wait in a 60 minute stand by line, we were on the ride in about 20-25 minutes. And on our last day it was posted at 75 minutes so we walked the queue to see where it actually started backing up, so that we could figure out if we had enough time or not and we timed it at 23 minutes.

They instantly show up digitally on your MDE account...and magic band (or ticket). They'll send you an e-mail letting you know what happened and which rides your anytime FPs are good for. This happened to us twice during our May trip...Both times because of Test Track breaking down.

But if you're already in line when the ride breaks down, having used your FP to get in there, they often times hand out paper FPs to those standing in line to be used later.

It will show up on your MDE. It will change from, say, 7DMT to an any time pass good for that day. Some people have said they receive an email or text with a list of available rides they can use it on.

THIS. The whole point of bringing Disney characters and movies in to Epcot is to draw guests who would no go otherwise.

It's a huge park that never nears capacity because the current design does not have enough appeal across the guest demographics. It can be infused with more Disney/characters and broaden the market as 5 hour lines for the sisters in the past and this new ride shows. If I were around the table trying to boost attendance, take pressure off other parks and optimize an existing underused park (while Universal becomes a threat) .... business says create demand. FEA is just that. Won't surprise me at all if this is just the beginning.

Thanks for all the great info, even though it's a bummer a ride breaks down. It's pretty cool you don't have to actually show up at the ride to get the anytime fastpasses.

TSMM has a higher re rideability because people want to get a better score.

But TSMM is a terrific ride that's word re-riding. Not at DHS for me, because the line is eardrum-splitting loud for my sensitive wittle ears, but at DCA I can ride it every day. Used to be more when they had the SR line. Love that ride.

Maelstrom was bad, though, IMO, and I can't imagine the Frozen version is much better.

Really? Last I read and experienced was September was by no means what it once was and is as crowded as ever. Also if we have learned anything in the past year it is just because it is low crowds does not mean low waits. Disney manipulates its rides with limited cast members and limits it tracts on rides to reflect the amount of people in the parks. It seems there is no edge in the game anymore. So would not get your hopes up that you are onto something there by wishing the ride would break down and mess other peoples plans up.

I hope it is quickly remedied and stays running, reducing the rush to run to Soaren or TT and keeps people flowing through the park. My big wish is that the 3rd tract on Soaren is running full speed having the similar reduction TSMM has experienced.
