Very simply put, this event was:

- Well run
- Well arranged
- Plenty of rooms
- Low queues
- Nice prize

THANK YOU - WE APPRECIATE EVENTS LIKE THIS!

:cool1: :dance3: :yay:

Wonderful job VMK! This event has been the smoothest and most pleasant maze event ever!

Thank you!

I thought the rooms were a mess, and the queues were low only because you could only win once, everyone had their pins by 2 or 3 pm (eastern)

Is this the first time a mass staff event actually goes well without problems? Maze and ride events have a history of having some problem, but this didn't, good work VMK, still a little upset that we could only get one pin though.

who said their were no problems?
if you had gone into play this maze in the forst 45 minutes, it was a disaster, every room was bottlenecked with people just standing there unable to get to the teleporter. I literally spent 20 minutes in the first room of one of the mazes waiting to pass

I, too, had a wonderful experience that has made me feel better about VMK. I hope it is the start of some positive experiences with the game.

I completely agree...

The reason it went off without a hitch was because not many people were doing it. You win your pin, and you're done.

LOL but that's part of why it was so well organized and such a great event. You didnt HAVE to be on in the first 45 minutes since it is open all day with many rooms. And no lines after the first hour or so.

Very well done.

Don't we always expect the biggest surge of people right when an event like this opens? All it took was some patience, or you could come back later when the lines thinned down. Sure, some people had a little difficulty clicking around in the maze, but the paths were set up mostly two people wide, so in most mazes we could get around those who were stuck.

I liked that the mazes were open most of the day. Nice pin, and it's tradeable! Good show VMK!

Personally I thought the maze event was a welcome relief to an otherwise unpleasant VMK week. It was smooth with very few problems. I think the idea of only one pin per character was a good one. It made for easy lines after the first 45 minutes. Dont get me wrong I liked the Ginger bread bench glutton a thon but I am still trying to figure out what to do with 30 benches and with the added lag of carrying so many pins, I think that 1 pin per person was the right way to go. GOOD JOB VMK staff!

I totally agree with the majority:thumbsup2 Thanks so much VMK for getting your act together and giving us an event that worked so well:cool1:

Yes, the maze event was really good. I particularly liked the Orange maze. it was quite easy to navigate.

i liked the Pink maze because no one was in there except me and two other ppl....
very easy to navigate around :rotfl:

I also thought the maze event was well-run. I wish more events had multiple rooms, it's really helpful. Orange and I believe yellow maze went very smoothly. Black had a jam-up at the teleporter, but the good thing was, since there were a lot of rooms and fast lines, I could just exit black and try another.

It was great that there were so many mazes. Virtually no queue by the time my daughter & I tried them (a couple of hours before the event started). We went for Black which had no wait at all. There were literally 4 other players in the Black maze at that time. I think it took 30-45 seconds to complete the maze for each of our characters. So easy and aggravation-free!

I hope there will be more events like this.

Sorry Doc, I have to agree with DD and the majority posting here. I thought the Football Maze Event was great! VMK did a fine job with a long event window, walkways that were for the most part two people wide and multiple rooms. I got on around 10a PST, got my Dailies and ran my first maze in less than 10 minutes. It was great! I wish VMK would run all their events this smoothly.

...Ginger bread bench glutton a thon...
"Glutton a thon" - LOL! :rotfl:

There were a couple stories of interested. The first event was when some kid stopped in front of the exit Tron teleporter in the first Yellow room and wouldn't walk on the porter. Several people "yelled" at him to move. When I finally said "Excuse me ### please step on to the teleporter" he quite defiantly said "NO, I don't want to" and proceded to stay there and say "I think I'll just stand here a while." Other players said they reported him and I was about to report him myself when he finally stepped forward.

I had another issue at the same spot with my 3rd Clone. Some kid stepped on the porter and stayed there. Based on his response it wasn't intentional, but rather some sort of hiccup with the system. The problem was now he was on the Tron porter and couldn't move off because the line was so tight behind him he couldn't back off. But with a little traffic direction from myself and very helpful/cooperative players in the room, we were able to get the line backed up. The stranded boy stepped off/on, got ported, and the line proceeded fine.

Both of these incidents barely caused a minute delay each. And when even a problem is so short as to really be inconsequential, well to me that's a well run event!

:thumbsup2
