I just wanted to give a shout out to Buzz2001. I've never seen anyone so dedicated to a resort as Buzz. I have read your website on CSR backwards and forwards and have decided to give CSR a try. :Pinkbounc I've been trying to decide between POP and CSR for two months now. I'm leaving June 10 for 7 nights   Anyone have opinions on which section has the best rooms (as far as decor) What should I put in my room request?? Only 24 days until Mickey..... :rotfl: :cheer2: :rotfl:

Thanks for the feedback! Long story short, when I started frequenting the DIS boards, CSR was given a bad rap by many because of this and that (too big, convention center, too hot, 10% gratutity). When I came back from my first visit in '98, I couldn't believe what guests were talking about so I started my site to help others make their own decision on the resort with some pics and info on CSR to help. WDW doesn't do a good job with their resort websites. My CSR hero when I first came on the boards was Howard. He had a similar CSR site and I used to point everyone towards his site. Not sure whatever happened to Howard. He became a mod, then his CSR site went away and then Howard stopped posting.

As far as room decor, the colors in the ranchos and cabanas are pretty similar now since the rehab. The cabana rooms are still the most wanted but are mostly waterview rooms and will cost more unless you get lucky with an upgrade. Cabana 9a is smoking optional so becareful that you don;t end up with a smoking room if it matters to you. Make you you request a non-smoking room.

cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge

cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above.

Cabana rooms are mostly waterview rooms or non parking lot views.

ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building.

I also would like to thank Buzz for his informative website. I have visited the sight many times and it has been very helpful.

My family (total of 6 for two rooms) are staying at CSR in November. We have already have reserved water view rooms with the hope of getting into the cabanas. My nephew has asthma and since cabana 9a is smoking optional, that is out of the question. Also, my wife and I are very intolerant of the smell of smoke. Buzz, how do I go about requesting a certain cabana? I am looking at cabana 8a since my son and nephew are both 10 and the Dig Site pool will be a big draw. Any advice would be appreciated.

Again, thanks for taking the time for making your website a very useful and informative tool, it really made a difference.

Again, thanks for the feedback!

I always make the request with CRO and then I fax in the request per these guidelines.

Have a great trip!

Buzz, I'd also like to say thanks! You've got a great, informative website and along with your help in answering questions I've changed from POR to CSR as of Monday. :cool1: I'm really excited about this resort and couldn't thank you more.

Buzz, you get a big thumbs up! CSR was always my favorite of the moderates and I love just visiting your site, brings back great memories!
And you do a great job!

Another thanks to Buzz. I am big on doing research before going anywhere, and Buzz's site answered a lot of my questions and really made me want to stay at CSR. The pictures were a HUGE help too! We stayed at CSR the first time last month, and we loved it! As Buzz suggested, i requested Cabanas 9b, but we were given 8b instead. That was totally fine, it was still a great location and close to bus stop 4. :goodvibes We would definitely stay there again, but we still have many other resorts to try. I do have a feeling that we will be going back there, however. Thanks Buzz!

Thanks for the great site Buzz! We like to go back and look at it when we want to relive the memories of our trip to CSR!! :flower:
