Many Europeans think Americans are:
- Stupid about the world beyond the US
- Ignorant of world history
- Money obsessed
- Dangerously patriotic
- Unilateral
- Uncaring about the needy in the US and elsewhere
- and don't forget about "Fat" too
So it is rather discouraging when people who have no knowledge of the terrorism in Ireland post on this board that Ireland's kind of terrorism DOESN'T count but terrorism against Americans DOES count. That kind of ignorance only feeds into a Europeans ill-informed view of us.
Happy to say, however, in general, the Europeans are totally wrong about Americans.
Not only that, there are few things more ignorant on the planet than a member of the European intelligensia talking about "America". You quickly realize after just a few paragraphs that they have NO IDEA what they are talking about even as they prattle on about the USA's lack of understanding." Its actually quite funny...
