I hope I am allowed to ask this question here (hope I am not breaking any rules). Is it worth it to order the Tour Guide Mike AVP? Has anyone had luck with it? I know it is only $21 but I do not want to order it if it is a waste. Thanks!!

I haven't used the information yet, but I have subscribed and have been reading a lot of stuff. I've picked up a lot of information that I *believe* will be useful, but we'll see in August:).

If you access the TGM site through the banner at the top of the "Theme Parks/Attractions" board, you get a $3 discount.

Regardless, TGM was the BEST investment we made in our WDW vacation. I bought the Unofficial Guide and read it cover to cover and found it very helpful. I also subscribed to TGM and can't say enough good things about it!

Although I have some "day visits" under my belt, this was our first true Disney vacation. We went 12/19-12/27 and using TGM advice, did 6 park days and didn't wait in any line more than 10 minutes, and that was the rare exception.

The site is filled with a great deal of useful information in a concise area. I am sure all of that information is available here but I can't imagine the amount of time it would take to find it!

My advice is to use as many resources as you can. TGM is one where you will get good value for the money!

I subscribed a week ago and I think it will be worth the money. I used the $3 off and paid $18.95. In the scheme of things what is $18 when we are spending much more than that on the WDW vacation? That was why I subscribed. I can't wait to try the touring plans to see if his advice is true, it does make sense.

TGM is AWESOME! You can't go wrong. Be sure to follow his advice on how to use his website once you subscribe as many, MANY, MANY folks find it quite confusing and give up too soon. But if you do get in a situation where you can't remember how to find something, just click over to the forums and someone will be there to help you find it. I just used TGM during our Nov/Dec visit. It was our first. I planned based exclusively on TGM and he never steered me wrong. I bought the UG and PassPorter and read them from cover to cover early on in my planning. However, once I got down to planning which parks I would be in on which days and booking ADR's, I used only TGM's advice. The books are great when you want a Disney "fix" but by the time they're printed and distributed to your local bookstore, some of the information is already out of date. TGM keeps his information current at all times via his website....which is why he doesn't publish his own book. See? Makes sense doesn't it? If you do decide after you subscribe that it's not for you then, request a refund. He'll give it to you, no questions asked. Good Luck! (Oh, and if you renew....it's even cheaper!)

Well I bit the bullet and ordered today. I can not wait for my 2 boys to go to sleep so I can sit and read it! Thanks for all the advice!

Not only is it worth it, its addicting!!! The wealth of knowledge on that site, and here is more then enough to help plan a great vacation. I only wish I had known about TGM site a ealier in my planning!

There will be plenty of time to sleep after you vacation! LOL.
I am so addicted that I read info during my entire lunch break and then again from after the kids are in bed until I can barely keep my eyes open. DH laughs at me as I sit there next to him with the lap top. He can laugh all he wants. I will get the last laugh.

Im getting my hubby hooked! Every day he asks me what my "big tip of the day" was, and every day Ive had something to share, to which he usually responds "that was a great tip!!" We are down to 19 days till we go, and the excitement is building. Im also feeling calm, because I truely feel Ive done about all I can do to get us ready for this vacation. My hubby is even thinking of just him and I going back next year, since ive learned to many tips on how to book for less!
