I just thought I'd let everyone know something that I'm extremely excited about: Jodi Sweetin (Stephanie from Full House) is coming here next week! I love that show!

ARRRGH!!! I went to the gym on campus this morning (which is absoltuely amazing and gorgeous and huge and i love it) but i lost my flippin student card there!!!
I had it on a lanyard in one of those little card protector thingys and somehow it must've fallen out while I was jogging!!!!!
I walked around the track a couple of times to look for it, and i went to all the machines i was at and every place i was in the gym and NOTHING.
I have NO idea where it it!!!
And I need that card for access to the gym!!!!
So now I have to hope some kind soul turns it in within the next couple days or pay 100$$ to get a replacement!!!! grrr.

Oh no! I hope someone turns it in! Do you just use it for the gym, or do you need it for other stuff, too? At my school we just have an id card that gets you into the dorms, the gyms, the library at night, and other places, plus it has your meal plan on it and money, like a debit card. So if you lose it you have to call right away so they can put a hold on your account. Ours only cost $15 to replace, though... $100 is a lot!

I had a Children's Literature class (probably really similar to if not the same as yours) last year and absolutely LOVED it!

how are your other classes going??

Children's Lit classes are the best! All my friends are reading The Communist Manifesto and ancient Greek philosophy and I'm like "Yea, I'm reading Curious George." It's awesome! It's more of a performance class than anything, though. We were given passages from classic nursery rhymes and then had to pick a card and each card had an adjective on it. We then had to take turns reading a nursery rhyme in the mood we picked on the card, so it was fun! As long as your not shy it's a really fun class, if any of you have a chance to take something like it.

The rest of my classes are going pretty well. Today I had my core art class and my Cognitive Development class. I love art and all things creative and artsy so even though it's a core class and we're only learning the basics, it's really interesting. I'm always the one dragging my friends around random museums to see all the classic, modern and cultural art so it's right up my alley! And my psych class is great since psych's definitely my strong point. I'm doing a concentration in psych and this is just a more advanced version of my Child psych class. Tomorrow I have an ed class and Thursday is my second ed class... so far so good.

She came to our school last year as well! I didn't go, but my friend did and she was kind of disappointed. She thought that Jodi was going to talk about her personal struggle with drugs, but it was more general knowledge stuff. However, her cousin happens to be in my program - that was kind of ironic!
